A truly wonderful dining experience. We had the 10-course degustation menu with matching wines & everything was sublime. Angelo came to our table several times & chatted at length. He is such a charming man who's obviously passionate about what he does. We can't rate this highly enough - definitely the best dining experience of our 2 weeks in Italy

I have visited this restaurant twice now. Once pre Michelin star once post. The restaurant is situated just outside Monopoli in the grounds of an Old farm House, strangely now part of a more industrial area of the town. The restaurant itself is very pleasant with simple decoration and attention to detail throughout. The staff are very helpful and offer... More

Considering this restaurant has a Michelin star having two people on the floor to attend to the customers reminded me of a scene from a Buster Keaton movie as they raced around the floor trying to meet your needs. We had the tasting menu but with respect to the Chef I thought that he was trying to be too clever... More

I had no idea what to expect as we have been disappointed before with Michelin starred restaurants.Angelo Sabatelli for sure exceeded our expectations. We loved the rustic chic and lay out of this fantastic restaurant. Straight to table where we were looked after to the highest of professional standards by Angelo's wife ( I am so sorry I did not... As others have noted, this restaurant has a somewhat bizarre location off of a road which is populated mainly by small industrial facilities. Signage is minimal so a sat-nav is more or less essential to find this restaurant. Once you have arrived you are greeted by a masseria type building with a very spacious and contemporary yet warm interior. In... More

Really a very nice and special treat. A bit on the formal side of things as far as we prefer. But that could just be us. The staff was perfect in their approach and were so welcoming. The room, stunning in its simple beauty. The food was really good... the bites we tasted before we even ordered were really stunning... More

The restaurant is 2km out of the old town of Monopoli on a rural property surrounded by olive trees. The dining room is beautiful - open, light and airy with lots of space between tables. We selected our own courses rather than going for one of the tasting menus (they looked nice and you can have matched wines, but it... More

What could be better than a restaurant that just got a Michelin star, except one about to receive a star. This restaurant was just awarded a star so expectations were high. They fussed about the bread and olive oil. Nothing special. Very nice amuse bouches. Apps were creative and very good. But the fish was overcooked and that is inexcusable.... More
