I was already super stuffed from all the local delicacies like the salsiccia but I couldn't pass this gelateria. Very nice service and super good ice cream. Don't miss it.

This is a nice place to eat some gelato. We loved the chocolate gelato and the yoghurt-gelato. This last one was very special! Nice place!

As soon as I walked through the door, despite it being a busy summer evening, I was met with a huge friendly smile from the owner and just seeing the selection in front of me brought back childhood holiday memories of agonising over the choice of what seemed a so exotic coffee or citron icecream. Now so many more flavours... More

The ice creams here are truly authentic and unusual. The fig and almond are delicious and the owner gave us an amazing history of how the caramelised fig is produced with the almond. Clearly in late summer the figs are fresh so would be even more special. I have to say the village of Cisternino is great possibly nicer than... More

After tasting every variety in the store we settled on the best combinations. The Fig and Chocolate were standout but then again they were all fantastic. What an oasis.

We stopped by L'Era Glaciale and were immediately drawn in by the very friendly owner, Mimmo. And then we tasted his gelato -- fantastico! So creamy with fabulous flavors. We chatted some more with Mimmo and couldn't believe it when he invited us into the back of the store to see his gelato machine -- what a wonderful opportunity! Mimmo... More

This wonderful family run shop only sells ice cream and ice cream cakes. The flavours are unusual and they make their ice creams based on the fresh fruit available at the time.

Every day on our trulli holiday we walked 3km through country lanes to get our ice-cream from L'Era Glaciale, and then walked back. Fig, Stracciatella, various chocolate, coffee etc. Phew. Fab. If you are in Cisternino, track it down. Delightful. And the 'Proprietario' is smiley and patient.

Went in with a screaming two year old. Owners were a lovely couple who took great care of us. The ice cream was very tasty. We had the Fig flavor and it was "put an instant smile on your face" delicious!
