We didn't stop for a meal in this restaurant. It was mid afternoon and we just wanted a cup of tea. Frankly, we didn't expect much as it's a bistrot, more used to serve coffees than tea. But the tea came with all the "gear", and cold milk, which is a rarity in France ( they still haven't learnt how... More

I visited this wonderful Bistro with my Wife on the advice of our friends who live near Domfront. We enjoyed the food and service so much that we returned again the following evening. It is such good value and not to be missed if you are visiting Domfront.

This Bistro came to us on recommendation and as soon as we arrived you could tell that it was good as it was so popular. I ordered the plat du jour (porc roti avec pruneaux- 11 EUR with dessert) at about 1:30pm and was told that it was finished! My wife and I then ordered tartine which was tasty and... More

We have just come to the end of a very special two week holiday in Domfront to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. Despite visiting several very good restaurants during our stay, we returned again and again to this very special Bistro. The lunchtime Menu de Jour was exceptional, both for quality and value for money, the service impeccable. Do not... More

Visited 3 times over a one-month period, always for dinner. What stood out for me was the consistency of the dishes. They were ALL good, and never a tough piece of meat or a flavourless sauce. Tonight, they had run out of beef and asked if we might enjoy magret de canard (duck breast). That is our favourite, so we... More

Good quality food at a nice restaurant with Friendly staff in the centre of Domfront. Very popular with English people and open when all others are closed. Would eat here again for sure.

First: It was April. This was our only option for dinner in town. Second: we are food people and we sought out (and had) some great food on our trip. However, the enthusiastic reviews on Trip Advisor had our hopes up for this one. It was …. fine. My partner was not feeling well, and just had the salad with... More

Reccommended to us and we were not disappointed good food well presented and served with a smile. The portions were just right and the choice was good for the menu of the day and not overpriced. We were able to park nearby in the old town and explore the beautiful city.
