Genuine French restaurant on the Mountain

A little bit of France tucked away on Tamborine Mountain. Authentic food - the crepes are very good - French champagne. The highlight would be the desserts - excellent pastry chef no doubt. Check out the gallery downstairs in November 2015 for fine oil paintings.

Not particularly looking for French cuisine - we were drawn in by the 'best scones' and 'art gallery' signage. Ordered a 'devonshire tea' (with a coffee) and two cups of hot chocolate. Scones with jam & cream arrived at the table, and the first of the drinks arrived almost 10 minutes later. I wonder how hard it can be for... More

I took my wife there for her birthday and we were trying this place for the first time. We were not disappointed! In a quiet secluded environment, we savoured some traditional french courses including various crepes (a magnificent "Poire Belle Hélêne" dessert), a scrumptious boeuf bourguignon (with a secret beef piece that when cooked adequately literally melts in your mouth),... We were lured into La Ferme by the blackboard out the front offering fresh scones. In the event we tried onion tart, duck terrine and endive & bacon salad and had no room left for scones. We were delighted by the freshness and quality of our meals, and could not fault the personal service of Isabelle the owner/chef and her... More

Stopped on a Saturday lunchtime anticipating quality being a French premises. Seated ourselves and asked for menus and water. There was one big table of 8-10 ladies and a few other small tables. No one had food on the table. We ordered two crepes and a hot chocolate. We were told it would be half an hour wait for the... More

We were well catered to for a special occasion (amongst family and friends. We needed unleavened bread for the occasion and Isabelle graciously accommodated is and started the evening with a complimentary plate of ULB. The food was as good as our two previous visits and met with high approval by our company. We'll be back. Geoff Mary and crew

Excellent French countryside restaurant in Mt Tamborine. Generous portions, unbelievably tasty food, excellent wine. perfect wine match - recommended by the manager. Crepes were amazing, it's a pity that we haven't tried dessert - we were too full. Will definitely come back

The surrounds are reminiscent of a French country restaurant, the food was impeccable, plus there are recommendations of French wines to suit each meal. I had the caramelised onion tart with raspberry vinegar and greens from their garden. The flavour was beautiful and the wine matched the meal perfectly. There is also a small gallery downstairs which is well worth... More

What a disappointment! My fiance and I (french) were really disappointed in the quality and the service. The baguette served with the duck terrine was completely undercooked, in fact I wouldn't even call it baguette at all. It's way overpriced for what is in the plate (very little and no major excitement). We decided to leave dessert and coffee for... More

Dear reviewer, You came very late in the day with your partner and expected to have everything on the menu for lunch, and as it turned out we did. As you well know, since you're a local, most places on Mt Tambourine stop serving after 2:30pm. - I personally served you as my wait staff had finished; we had a very... More

Thankyou everyone for a fantastic night last Saturday night. How Isabelle and her team made all that magic - I'm in awe! Service in every way was spectacular, food was amazing and wonderfully presented. We felt so privileged to dine on such unique offerings - the Alsace noodles were a revelation! Thankyou also for letting us dine at such short... More
