We went to the Café during the week at 4 pm. It was absolutely not busy. My boyfriend ordered a Sandwich and I ordered a coffee as I wasn't hungry yet. When the waitress noticed that we didn't want to order more she was very unfriendly. We got what we ordered but didn't get any further attention. When we wanted... More

This is our second visit. Our first visit was in July of last year and we gave it a high rating. This time the rating was not so good. High points of this visit. It is still a great place to sit on their covered balcony and people watch. This time with our improved Spanish we were brave enough to... More

I enjoy this restaurant for many reasons. The dinning room is clean, the kitchen is clean, the service is profesional and the food is excellent. But most of all I like the location adjacent to the Rio Zamora and the balcony overlooks a small well kept park. Peaceful and secluded but located in the heart of the city. It is... More

Having read the other reviews, we thought we were heading somewhere quite cheap. Not so. The menu doesn't state the prices, presumably so foreigners can be charged more. The prices for the "platos tipicos" were $10 for a full serve, or $7 for half serve. That puts the pricing pretty much on par with all the most expensive restaurants in Loja.... More

One of our daughter's "go to" local places for lunch and dinner. Now I know why, we enjoyed two lunches and a couple dinners while visiting Loja. Great local, family place, food and staff very good. Word of caution, we wanted a lite meal and ordered the chicken soup,(can't remember what its called on the menu). It's a big bowl... More

I might have been charged the Gringo price, but $2.75 is still a reasonable amount to pay for a full meal, served quickly and in a nice location. There is the usual traffic of course, but it does seem lighter than other parts of the city and sitting along the balcony is the best place. The soup was hearty, the... More

We had lunch with beer and wine on their balcony overlooking a small park. It appears to be a popular spot for visitors and locals. Be brave and try one of their daily specials. You will not be disappointed.

$2.50 daily special with several choices of protien. Soup, Juice, Plate of food with rice salad and protien. Desert. Simple and straight forward. They do offer larger lunch portions of Lomo, Cerdo and Gallina for Lunch under $5 to $7. Dinner is $7 to $10...Great location near the Tame office with maybe 10 tables over looking a small park. I just randomly ordered something from the card because my Spanish isn't that good. It turned out to be something with meat. I didn't like the starter (something with beans) but the main course was excellent! Nice location and balcony, although it was a bit boring because there were only two people eating there.

One of the good places for Cecina in Loja. Nice outdoor eating. If you want good Lojano food this is the place to go.
