Quaint Mexican atmosphere

A quaint Mexican atmosphere restaurant serving burritos, tacos, quesidillas, and enchiladas. Entres are $ 3 to $ 7. Family run restaurant with good service and food. Remember in Ecuador seasoning is used sparingly - so if looking for more authentic Mexican flavours request " picante "

Stopped for a late lunch. Ordered Tacos and burritos. Real Mexican tacos are served on Corn Tortillas, not on Flour tortillas! It's difficult to find authentic Mexican food in Loja. Better to stick to local food and avoid disappointment.

This place has been a well-known institution for quite some time in Loja. They serve the only realistic Mexican fare in the area. There are also many dishes with vegetarian options (not easy to find in Loja). The customer service is good and the food is very good.

It was nice to have something beyond the normal Ecuadorian fare. The enchiladas were pretty good, but not great. They don't use a lot of peppery spices in Ecuador. Not genuine Mexican food, but then again I am in b Ecuador

We met a Lojano friend who suggested A lo Mere Mero. The menu had a blend of traditional Mexican and Lojano entrees. I recommend you come hungry. I had a beef & chicken burrito. It was tasty and filling. My wife had their mixed chicken taco that she enjoyed. Our Lojano friend had veggie burrito which was one of their... More

This place was yummy, inexpensive and had good options for vegetarian food with and without the fake meat substitutes. The service was fast and friendly.

Great taste of Mexico in Loja. Great tacos and quesodillas. The guacamole and hot sauce is wonderful! Prices are good too!
