The restaurant was nothing special, but probably the only satisfactory in Calama. Food was not exactly cheap, we got Lomo alo Pobre, wanted medium, was well-done, but the waiter exchanged it, no problem. Burger Churasco italiano was perfectly big :)

If you are looking for good pork this is the place. Is not cheap and tend to be overcrowded in the evenings. Service is not so good. Quality of the side orders is poor.

They had a whole pork leg in an transparent oven and the meat was really good (tender and tasty). But the Service is not so good and its expensive compared to the Chilean Cosinerias in the area which also serve really good home cooked food. But for one time its worth the experience, especially if you like pork.

On the main square. Food was just OK with the best being a roast pork roll, unfortunately the chips were soggy. We did spend 3 hours waiting for a bus so useful for WiFi.

The Bavaria Restaurant in Calama has nothing about it that suggests it’s a German restaurant. The menu did have a few items of German food, but most of the items on the menu were NOT German at all. The atmosphere has nothing German about it. The décor is blah Chilean, Walmart type cheapo fixtures, tables and chairs, and the service... More

I would call it a fast food restaurant (like Denny's). I had a fatty beef steak with peas and sweet corns. Waiters were more interested in the football match on TV than clients. It was the only place we found open at an odd hour - around 1630-1700. There was nothing fancy, but it filled our hungry stomachs.
