Dinner after arriving at PR

This place now called Ediths I had been looking at before we arrived at Puerto Rico since it was open 24 hrs. The grilled sandwiches we had were great and the price was just right. Good place to stop.

I love Edith's. After visiting and staying in the Isla Verde area I was looking for a nice breakfast spot. There were several options to choose from. My first visit was to Edith's and this is where I went every morning for the duration of my stay. The employees were really friendly. Service was great. Food is reasonably priced. The... More

The lovely bartender/waitress was super friendly, had a beautiful smile, and welcomed us when we arrived a little late and had mofongo and some beer while watching baseball. We enjoyed ourselves and the food.

Now called Ediths. Iwas eager to try this storefront type restaurant because I read the posted menu I wanted mofongo a characteristic Puerto Rican dish. I did not expect this plain place to have a full bar but it did so I tried the margarita--excellent, and we had the mofongo with shrimp, Creole style and grilled skirt steak with tombstones.... We were the only one in the restaurant and still had slow service. The food was good, coffee was served in a star-foam cup and we ask for ice water and was told water not good that we needed to order bottle water, funny never noticed water bad anywhere else. Not really the friendlies place

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat rather than pay resort prices at ESJ next door. The food was flavorful and the beer was cold. Nothing spectacular, but certainly nothing to complain about. We would eat here again if we find ourselves at the ESJ Resort again.

The guy was very nice although they did not have all the ingredients to make the marisco (4 different types of seafood) monfongo he still made them and just gave me a discount... He is very friendly and will try to accommodate you... But don't expect a 5* just be happy it's open 24/7 and they have dinner breakfast and... More

You can't beat your return on investment. The food was great and the price points won't break your wallet. Open 24 hours this is a great place for a midnight snack

We tried Edith's, the former Don Jose, because we smelled wonderful spices wafting onto the sidewalk from the kitchen. The service was a bit slow and could have been a little friendlier, but the food was very good and the atmosphere is casual and inviting.

During tropical storm Bertha, we got caught in the rain while walking and ducked into this place. Looks like a grungy bar from outside, but it was like a small cafe at home. VERY clean. Good and friendly service. They recommended mofongo, which was one of the best things we had while in PR. We didn't know they can't alcohol... More
