The food was mediocre, but not worth the horrible service. Our waiter disappeared for the first 20 minutes after taking our order, and came back smelling like smoke. I guess he couldn't wait until after his shift. Next, the waiters decided it was finger nail painting time at the front door and laughing obnoxiously.

Stopped here one night while staying in the area after our cruise. Within walking distance of our hotel and so happy that we did!! The food was out of this world--the mahi mahi and the mussels for appetizers---so good!! Our main dishes were a delight too--had the bacon wrapped chicken stuffed with plantain---churrasco with beans and rice, the pulled pork... More

Seafood paella was awesome. Try the empanada appetizer too. Wasn't a fan of the sangria. Service was super slow.

The chicken herb soup was incredible!! Nothing like it!! Food was good but nothing to rave about! Waiter was helpful in explaining dishes and drinks! Located centrally to many hotels -- walking distance. Inside dining only.

My daughter and I went here on a recent visit to Puerto Rico. We were basically sticking to restaurants that were within walking distance of our hotel. The food was good (I had the mofongo churassco and my daughter had chicken in creole sauce) and the service was excellent. They also have great sangria. But the real selling point here... More

My husband and I ate there on our last day in PR, while the food was a bit SALTY it was pretty good. Chicaron de pollo was very good but salty. All of the plates were reasonably priced. I would recommend that they cook with less salt.

The best thing about this place was the coconut sangria. I found the food a little dry. The service was slow, but why would I be in a rush in Puerto Rico.

I had the opportunity to dine at Platos Restaurant my first night in Puerto Rico. The fresh Red Snapper with rice and beans was delicious! The portion were huge enough to share. We also ordered the green mussels in saffron sauce appetizer which was outstanding. They also serve excellent wine and coconut sangria. Our server was very nice and helped... More

The server recommended the Churrasco, grilled flank steak, so that was one of the meals we tried. Our piece was very chewy and not that tender with more fat than should be expected. That dish was disappointing. Our other meal was the Chicken Breast in a Creole Sauce which was very good. Also very good were the selection of Sangrias.... More

We had a great experience at Platos during our first night in San Juan. Platos is a quick walk from the Intercontinental Hotel and it came highly recommended by our bellman. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was crowded when we arrived, but we were quickly accommodated by the efficient staff within 10 minutes (we had no reservations.)... More
