We went here twice during our week in Palmas. The first time was for my birthday dinner. We shared a pitcher of red sangria which was excellent! All four of us got seafood, grouper 2 different ways and grilled shrimp with tropical salsa. The shrimp wasn't on the menu as grilled, but they were happy to cook it for us... more

Hidden away next to the Tennis courts in Palmas del Mar, PR, Caracoles is a low wooden building with inside and outside dining. Food is expensive but very good. I have tried the lamb which was excellent. Seafood is a specialty hence the name "sea shells" in Spanish. Get directions from the guard at the gate to Palmas del Mar.... more

What a gem of a restaurant in Palmas del Mar. I'm on a restricted low salt diet, and could not find anything on the menu that was low sal. I was ready to leave, but the chef came out, and said he would make any dish I wanted without salt or seasoning. He made grilled talapia with vegetables, and gave... more
