We booked an overnight stay, and arranged to have dinner with my husband's sister and her husband who live close by. Excellent winter menu- attentive staff, well priced, Francis the chef did a fabulous job Posy was super attentive, we had duo of beef, and a most excellent crème brulee for dessert

Ate here last night and the menu was limited and the food no more than acceptable. Michelin Star it certainly isn't but I've lived to tell the tale. The bar staff female was on the edge of being manic and the phrase more speed less haste sprang to mind

Fantastic haggis, wine selection, kids menu and table d'hôte value. Highly recommend. We had a wonderful pinotage with our meal which was reasonable and often hard to find.

great dining room with period furniture giving great ambience, the 3 course meal we had was just fabulous ,well cooked quality products with great service from "Posie" our waitress, nothing more to say than it was great experience.

I had the prawn cocktail, husband had the smoked salmon starters. Both were very good. The main courses of chicken and ox cheek were also good, though all the vegetables were undercooked for our liking. Even the mashed potatoes were raw! The coffee was luke warm. Absolutely wonderful dining experience, we enjoyed the meal here immensely, great value and far exceeded our expectations. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Try the smoked haddock risotto, beautiful.
