Potter About is the best café in Burntisland / Aberdour / Kinghorn area. The café itself is large and bright with a children's play area in the corner. It even has its own craft area where you can paint pottery! The menu is varied with the usual café offerings of sandwiches, soups, toasties and cakes. However, it has a selection... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're always delighted to hear when folks enjoy our cafe! Our chef loves to create new things, so the menu is always changing. We've recently launched a whole new menu, with some lovely new specials that I'm sure you won't be disappointed in. We also have soya milk now for coffee, so... More

I have been a few times now and have found a consistently high standard of food. Spacious surroundings with a relaxed atmosphere. Burntisland should be proud!

Unusual and quirky cafe situated in an old fashioned shop on the Main Street. Tea in substantial pottery teapots allowed up to 3 cups per person - what a treat. Food looked lovely and substantial with an interesting mix of cuisines. Plenty to do for children with space for play which looked great fun. Will be back on my next... More

I have been here twice in the last 2 weeks, I love the food and that's it fresh and homemade, my first visit I was served by a lady with dark short hair who didn't seem very welcoming and didn't smile or speak much, I thought oh well we all have bad days, returned again and once again the food... The snacks were of good quality and the staff friendly and helpful. A point deducted for poor quality cake, but still the best cafe in Burntisland.

Thank you for your feedback - we're glad you enjoyed your visit. We apologise for the cake though. You obviously had a slice that was maybe past it's best, and that's not good enough! Our cakes are all homemade and we normally get great feedback. We're being extra cautious now to make sure only the best quality cakes go out... More

Visited on a hot saturday afternoon, the first thing that strikes you is how bright and airy the cafe is. Food on the menu is normal cafe food but the specials are very good, and cakes look tasty. We opted for soup and a BLT and soup and the special (a pizza inside a bread casing - weird but looked... More

Had a late lunch here on Mothers Day having passed many times on days out in Burntisland, we usually just get a take away and sit by the beach but today was too cold and foggy. We're glad to have finally stopped by. Really good food at a reasonable price, has a family run feel to it. One of my... More

We went here on a Sunday afternoon after a walk. There was live music playing which was great. My partner ordered and paid for scones and tea at the counter as they were in the display. However some time later we were told there were none left ?! This was explained as orders had been taken on the floor and... More

I'm so sorry you didn't have a good experience in our cafe. This issue you had with being sold scones that had already been sold has been dealt with. Your feedback was very helpful as it highlighted an issue that we've since been able to deal with in staff training. Hopefully, if you give us another try this won't happen... More
