Lovely afternoon

Took my 10 month old into Potter About to make a Christmas ornament for her first Christmas. We were helped by a lovely lady who was very patient in getting my little ones hand print! Was a lovely atmosphere and experience. The staff were very friendly and there was a nice comfy area at the back of... read more

I have often visited this restaurant in Burntisland and I am completely torn by it. On the one hand I really enjoy the food / style of the food since the apparent overhaul of the menu. No longer do you get a toasty with 3 crisps and a lettuce leaf!! Now the food feels suitably more upmarket in comparison. Nice... More

I had a lovely time at Potter about. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great. Amazing home made burger and cakes! The cafe is a lovely space and has a friendly atmosphere. I didn't have a chance to paint but there was a great selection of ceramics and I would definitely go back!

Although the food is very good, on several occasions I have found the staff lacking in basic friendliness. This makes me less inclined to visit.

Thank you for your very lovely review. We love being a family cafe, where children can play without fear of disturbing those around them. I'm really glad you enjoyed your time with us! I'm sorry the dirty dishes were left in the sofa area - this unfortunately is a blind spot for our staff. This however is not an excuse... More

My family and I popped in for the first time after swimming locally. Having only recently moved to the county we were looking for things to do and cafés etc. The staff were very friendly, the food (club sandwiches for my wife and I and tomato & lentil soup for the little one) was very nice. We will definitely come... More

I love coming to potter about for a coffee, but after a recent visit I wouldn't trust them with anything more than that. We ordered two breakfasts, and they took 40 minutes to come. When the breakfasts came one was missing an item we ordered. We were told the item would be brought to us shortly, but it never arrived.... More

We are sorry your visit to our cafe didn't live up to your expectations. I'm wondering if you were in on Saturday. Our chef had a family emergency and had to rush to the hospital, which meant we were more than a little disorganised. Two of our young staff stepped up to do the cooking, and for the most part... We love Potter About. Whether it's a fine dining experience once in a while, a birthday party, a curry and comedy night in the past or.......the favourite, weekends for breakfasts, lunches, cups of tea and cake and of course painting ceramics, it's just lovely. The staff are very friendly and the food very lovely. We have been going here for... More

Thank you so much for your very lovely review! We're very glad you like visiting our cafe. As for the Sunday opening, I'm afraid that will not change. We are loving spending time with our families on a Sunday. I think they've missed us :) More

I went to visit my friend, who now lives in Burtisland. Knowing nothing about this small town, I wasn't expecting anything to stand out to me. But after a friendly afternoon's game of golf on a football field near my friend's house, I was surprised to find this delicate treasure in the town centre. The cafe was decorated with nice... More

Thank you so much for your review. We do all the baking ourselves, and encourage all our staff to have a go (some of the cakes do turn out a little rustic looking, but at least you can see they are home made). We have a great team in the kitchen and all our food is fresh and locally sourced... More

Had a late lunch here with family on our annual trip to Burntisland. The food is excellent with a wide variety of different dishes and a number of appetising, homemade specials and cakes. The interior is bright and has a nice design with some sofas at the front and tables going towards the back. The atmosphere is also very friendly.... More
