Made to feel very welcome!

My Sister and I accompanied my elderly Mother and my niece from Australia to lunch at this fine friendly restaurant. The staff were excellent and made us very welcome. The food was very good, particularly the home made burgers. Will return in the future.

We just had a lovely meal at Gadies in Oyne last night. The service was just right and food was really tasty. Thank you.

We had a great meal at Gadie's Restaurant recently, the Kedgeree starter was perfectly balanced and a great size to share between two, the burgers were delicious, and certainly packed full of ingredients, and the staff we're extremely helpful, eager to chat, and quite happy for us to take home what we couldn't eat of our desserts. I plan to... More

My sister and I made a nostalgic visit to Gadie's when she was up in Aberdeen for New Year. Our grandparents lived and worked in Oyne many years ago. We reserved a table, but the kind waitress changed it for us to a quieter spot. It was a freezing cold day, but warm and welcoming inside. I had the home... More

Whilst spending Christmas in my hometown of Aberdeen I had the distinct pleasure of visiting this hidden gem of a restaurant in the picturesque Aberdeenshire countryside. I can genuinely say that it is almost beyond my powers of articulation to do this restaurant justice. From the moment we arrived I was struck by the warmth and ambience of Gadies. Whilst... More

Frequent visitor both daytime and evenings. The food always being good as is the service. The milkshakes are exceptional as are the burgers with all the food being sourced locally. One of my favourite restaurants.

I have been here a few times as am visit the area regularly. Unfortunately each occasion the service is mixed and can be a little slow. Some of the staff are extremely friendly and others indifferent. The food is not great and, as a result, is overpriced. The hamburgers are often cooked to the texture of bullets and are pretty... Uninviting outer and interesting inner sort of cafe type place, next to an arts and crafts barn so expected something a little quirky. Perhaps I don't give it enough credit as its a bit out of the way.,.staff friendly enough but soup was tepid, unseasoned and oddly flavoured, small portion means small portion. I wouldn't rush back.

One takeaway Americano coffee plus one scone wrapped in cling film £6.10 a shocker!! How can that be justified!!

TouchedBS, Manager at Gadie's Restaurant, responded to this review

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way. Gadie's is not a takeaway restaurant. Our prices reflect table service and all the extras that go with that fresh homemade scone (like our homemade Fetternear Fruit raspberry jam and clotted cream or butter). We always try to accommodate any customer that presents themselves at our counter. We encourage our... More

I really enjoyed a lunch-time meal at Gadie's. There was a varied, interesting menu and the quality of cooking was excellent. The decor of the restaurant is tasteful and modern, there are some panels about the local area around one of the seating areas. Staff were friendly and eager to help. The restaurant is attached to a craft/gift shop. There... More
