We went here to celebrate my father-in-law's 75th birthday for Sunday lunch. We were in a big group and made very very welcome. The staff gave good service and were able to deal with slight alterations to meal requests. The food was lovely after we finally managed to decide what to have from a great menu. Would definitely return as... More

There were 12 adults, a 4 year old and a month old baby out to celebrate my husband's 75fh birthday. From start to finish you could not fault the food, service and atmosphere, starting with a welcome drink when we arrived to giving my husband a bag of goodies when we left. We loved the home cooked food using local ingredients... More

My dad's 75th birthday meal with 14 of us. Staff at Gadies could not have been more attentive and they put balloons up and sang happy birthday which made it even more special. Everybody loved the food and my dad has had a wonderful birthday meal. Thank you Gadies of Oyne. 👍😊 xxx

Was invited here for lunch by a very good friend. Had the warm lamb salad and it was excellent. My friend didn't want the lamb and asked if she could have chicken instead. This wasn't a problem to them and willingly obliged. The staff was very willing to help and were extremely pleasant. Lovely friendly atmosphere and very reasonably priced.... More

We visited in late May 2014 on our way back from a walk in the surrounding hills. We both wanted the fish but my wife didn't want too big a piece - the waitress asked the kitchen what size the portins were and when we were told "large" my wife aked if she could have a smaller portion - the... More

My friend invited me to lunch at gadie's on Tuesday and have to say I really enjoyed my day there. The American lady was very welcoming and made us feel right at home which I really liked and the place had a very warm welcoming atmosphere. We opted for the soup which was home made served with crusty bread and... More

I went to Gadie's for lunch this weekend, the food was very nice with the exception of finding a 2 inch long chicken bone in the chicken pastry I ordered. When we paid the bill I noticed we had still been charged full price, when I questioned this with the manager she was extremely rude and told me they don’t... More

Thank you for your TA review. The Chicken Tagine Bradie served at Gadie's is made using fresh roasted chicken that is marinated with Eastern spices and pulled from the chicken carcass by hand. It is then put in to a fresh pastry. Sometimes, despite the great care that we take in preparing our food, small bones can still be present.... More

I really like eating in here and come quite often....good selection of food and they use mainly local produce. Restaurant is open in the evenings with occasional music too. It is located in 'Touched by Scotland' which is a place were you can buy some lovely items made by local artists. There is also a great knitting shop there.
