Another lovely meal at Gaddies

We have been back 3 times over the last couple of months, fallen in love with their lobster dish, had it on each visit, it is that good. They have some of the best fries, freshly cut and cooked the way I like them, best dipped in the garlic butter and lobster juices. It beats the offerings from... read more

Excellent quality food with brilliant local ingredients with a US twist, it isn't super cheap, but I think very good value as the quality was so good, large portions, good flavours and lovely surroundings and staff.

We visit for lunch quite regularly and always find the food very good. They now have an American themed menu (as the owners are American so makes sense) which personally I really like as its a bit different with interesting menu choices. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is homely especially in the area near the... More

This has become one of our favourite eating establishments, anywhere. Great food and friendly efficient service all served up in "cosy" surroundings, other restaurants should take note on how it should be done. if this was closer to Aberdeen it would be sold out every day.

Had lunch at Gadie's today with my wife, and we must say - it has been re-invented! Gone is the "cold" atmosphere, gone is the "poor" staff and gone is the over "pretentious" menu! Say hello to a "warm" atmosphere that you feel as soon as you walk into the place. Very well mannered, attentive and highly pleasant staff. Along... More

This was our first visit with the new revamped menu, after being regulars at Gadie's for several years. The food was superb as ever. Special mention to the crispy battered haddock, served with hush puppies (something new to us!) and lovely homemade tartare sauce. The restaurant staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help. A must-visit if you're... More

I love going to Gadies, and whenever I have been, we have been greeted warmly and treated to excellent service and food. On this occasion My friend and I were meeting my daughter and grandchildren for a brunch, and to hand over a pumpkin for a competition. My daughter and I had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and my... More

Have been a few times over the years. Initially, this place was brilliant and always looked forward to a wander round Touched by Scotland and a tasty lunch in Gadies. We went there a few months ago and were disappointed with the food but nevertheless thought we would try again last week. The "theme" has now gone "American" and the... More
