Food was reasonably good. Service often slow and confused. Same menu on the two nights I was there though

The portions looked small but the meal was filling a bit overpriced compared with other similar meals. The place is beautiful (once you find it!!) staff was very friendly but seemed unsure about what they were doing..

Went here as a treat for dinner, a complete let down. Situated in a lovely place however the tables are not situated where you can see the best views. The food was lovely but not a lot of it and over priced. My partner and I decided to have a pudding as we were still hungry however when we came... More

They had lost our booking. They brought the wrong wine. The starters -pea soup and "duck confit" were very disappointing, a small amount of bland shredded duck meat, mixed with a little potato, and half a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar. The lamb course was tiny with just another little slice of potato. The puds were very poor, bland sloppy cheesecake... More

Attentive staff, tasty food, great service. Freshly cooked breakfast to order. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

We decided to go to this restaurant to celebrate my sister-in-laws birthday, my wife booked for last Saturday night and rang again to confirm to be told that it was not open to non-residents at the weekend but they would accept us as exceptionally as they had previously told her it was ok. We arrived and were shown to a... More

The restaurant itself was very good, though the menu changed little in the three evenings were are at the hotel attached to the restaurant and dining there. The portions were quite reasonable and the service attentive and friendly, though on the second night only white bread was offered with the meal as brown had run out and by the third... More

We've been before, so decided to have a leisurely small evening meal again here. The location & view are great and is was just warm enough to eat outside. But then, how do you order food or even find a menu? No indications, nothing. So a trip to the what turned out to be the formal restaurant in the place... More

A good location & setting overlooking the gardens with views across the valley. An enjoyable evening meal but not good value.
