We visited last Tuesday and did not fancy the carvery as we always have it and fancied a change. We asked our waiter for the lunch time menu and I had the cod and chips but the rest of the table had carvery. John, our waiter, informed us that there would be a fifteen minute wait and the cod was... More

The Punch bowl is well worth a visit, open fires and cosy nooks to enjoy a high quality Sunday lunch (carvery). Todays choice of meat was pork (with crispy crackling),beef (cooked perfectly, turkey or lamb with a wide selection of home cooked vegetables and if you've any room left a good choice of puds. Honest good quality traditional carvery which... More

I was lucky enough to visit Ye Olde Punch Bowl, Bridgnorth, yesterday for their infamous Aga carvery. I was not disappointed. There was a choice of roast beef, roast port, venison and turkey - any you can try all four! The vegetables were neverending. There were roast potatoes and parsnips, swede and carrot mash, cauli cheese and so much more........ More

Been here with a party of Shropshire and Herefordshire Golf Captains for an annual dinner on several occasions. Also with family and friends over the past year. Would highly recommend this establishment for quality and value and is exactly what you would expect from a carvery. Staff are respectful and friendly, food is top class. If you are thinking about... After raving reviews from the grandparents we decided on the punch bowl for a casual Sunday carvery. Upon arrival we were welcomed by polite well dressed staff to a rather dim lit dinning area, but after a few moments for our eyes to adjust we got a round of drinks in and our carvery tickets and sat down for a... We recently had lunch at the Punch Bowl with several family members. The place has been recently redecorated and sensitively refurbished and is smart and comfortable, yet still retaining its historic character. We opted for the carvery. On a cold, miserable autumn day the restaurant was warm, cosy and welcoming. The open log fire was much appreciated by all. The... More

We have taken a number of friends here & they are just as impressed. Need to book as can get busy although never feels overcrowded. Reasonable on prices and good service. Feel it is... More
