My wife and I live in the Lake District and are always on the lookout for somewhere new to go for Lunch and we stumbled on the Canal Turn by accident as we wanted a walk down the canal. On our return we decided to stop there as it looked lovely with the sun shining and the canal traffic going... More

We were very disappointed on this visit as on our last visit was excellant. Food - salad garnish looked like it had been there for days all dried up and wiltering. Our meals looked like they were chucked on the plates presentation was terriable the chips were under cooked. Service -EXTREMLY SHOCKING they were kids and had clearly had no... More

Great view of canals, good sun trap in garden. Food poor quality; tuna on the jacket had a crusty layer like the tuna had not been covered in storage, soup thin watery, no flavour and butter tasted like it was off, scampi and chip under cooked. Walk on by for food. Stop for a drink with a view.

Took some friends here on Sunday not been ourselves for a while but the food was absolutely gorgeous, all four of us had a great meal with nice ale. Watching all the boats mooring up and moving on was great as well

Beautiful view over the Lancaster canal. The food is good pub grub priced sensibly with lovely friendly staff who can't do enough! Dogs are welcome inside and out which is a great feature. What more could you ask for on your doorstep?
