Went in a party of 4 for a meal at this pub. Myself and my wife had the 8oz rib eye steak which was nice and cooked as we had requested, the same for all our party. The steak was served with chips, peas, mushrooms, salad and onion rings. After being told by friends we did book and can see... read more

Good food served by friendly staff, booking at weekends is a must as it gets quite busy, staff will aways try to get you in though. Good range of beers, menu varied and has a specials board too. Not rushed out after eaing either which is always good if you fancy a drink after your meal

Went recently with family to celebrate a special birthday. Lovely food and huge portions, at a very reasonable price. Will definitely return soon.

We opened our holiday home later this year, and part of the ritual is to have a meal with friends at this local pub. We thoroughly enjoyed our starters 2 opted for salt and pepper squid and one choose fiery chicken wings. Each plate was cleared and pronounced to be delicious. Knowing the size of the mains I opted to... More

Went here for dinner last night having been intrigued by a supercilious review and the owners most excellent response. Have to say I am with the owner, the pub was packed out, so very glad we booked. The food was hearty and very enjoyable, the menu and specials board had enough to to cater for all tastes. It was steak... More

Ate here with two friends. Food good and plentiful. We couldn't believe how cheap it was. Only downside was that by 21.40 it was empty and the staff were obviously wanting to close. We would have had another drink, but felt compelled to leave. But would still return for a meal.

We took family out for tea and came here as it was recommended to us. It was not what we expected. Its a quaint village pub quite large inside. The furniture is a little dated and we thought the table might collapse as we ate. It was not busy as we booked for 17.30. The service was a little slow... More

We found this place on Trip Advisor as we were staying at Pine Lakes nearby, it is off the main roads but well worth a visit. Food is very good with something for most tastes, and plenty of it.

Fantastic homemade food, great staff and generous portions. What more could you want!! I would recommend the steak pie, the liver and onions or the fish and chips (large or small - the small is big too!). Will be back very soon.

On a recent mid-week visit with our German friends we were given a very warm and friendly welcome by the Eagles Head young and enthusiastic staff. Our starters of Prawn Cocktail, Pate with salad was excellent, mains consisted of T-Bone steaks and Lamb Henry, all served piping hot with superb flavours, great veggies and tasty Chips. The Eagles Head has... More
