Sorry, Guys, but this pub was absent a landlord or a landlady. Fairly youngish staff, late 20's to 30's not really interested and appeared bored. The food was a bit of a let down. I ordered the roast beef (small portion). There was only one small slice of meat, the rest was overcooked veg, My other half had the usual... More

Thank you for your review regarding your visit to us on Sunday 14th. Firstly we pride ourselves on being able to accommodate customers preferences, dietary requirements and needs all you have to do is ask, if you prefer your veg cooking al dente that is not a problem that could have been easily achieved by simply asking. Secondly as for... More

We found this Pub by accident on our last night before heading back home down South, what a shame we didn't find it the first night we were there. The staff were friendly , the service was good and the food was excellent and there was loads off it. We hope to revisit the Lakes so we will be calling... More

I have been coming to this pub for a number of years for a drink after scuba diving at Capernwray Quarry, however this is the first time we have ordered food. We weren't disappointed - two main meals and two desserts came to £27.90. The portions are large, more importantly the taste of all the food we ordered was the... More

We received a warm welcome from the landlord, our table was ready for us straight away. We ordered fish and chips (it was fish Wednesday!) and the meal was delicious and very good value for money. Gary (landlord) was extremely helpful with finding a taxi and even offered to drive us himself if we struggled to get one. What a... More

I felt we should write this review as we have visited the Eagles Head on many occasions and also had our 20th Wedding Anniversary celebration and my 80th birthday celebration with 18 friends. Our MG car club have also had lunches there with up to 24 people attending after a club run. On every occasion we have enjoyed excellent food,... More

I have eaten here many many times and find it astonishing I haven't written a review! Sometimes you want quality, others you want quantity. Here you get both!! This coupled with the traditional pub atmosphere many crave make it an absolute necessity. Order what you like off the menu or the specials and I'll guarantee you'll be back to work... More

Another excellent, reasonably priced, quality meal in pleasant surroundings. The young serving staff are great but mine host could do with honing his people skills
