We visited based on the reviews on Trip Advisor, and was not disappointed. This is Traditional Pub food at its best, there is a good choice menu, when the food arrived it was cooked and presented very well . The service was very good . Just one word of warning , the potion sizes are massive , so don't over... More

Spoke to a very pleasant chap over the phone when booking the table. Excellent food (haddock and chips) portions were massive and great service. Pudding to follow was also very good. Looking forward to returning on our next visit to the area.

Due to an incident on the M6, my wife and I decided to cut across country to avoid the horrendous delays. We passed this nice looking pub and decided to stop off for our dinner. We found the interior was fine, typical country pub, good selection of real ale, friendly staff. The menu was proper pub grub, good choice and... More

Organised a birthday meal for 10 last year on the back of reviews on here. 8 meals were OK, the 2 steaks were ordered medium rare but came over well done, they were not even close. We asked for them politely to be replaced which is normally done with a smile and apology. The young waitress was very apologetic, but... More

We are very disappointed that you had such a bad experience as stated in your review, I can not understand how and when this happened and we will be looking into this matter. We take our business very seriously and we are very upset that customers should have such a bad impression of us, We only wish that you had... More

We went to the Eagle's Head last weekend whilst staying at Capernwray. The exterior looked great, the interior was a slight disappointment in that it wasn't quite the cosy pub I was expecting. But the large dining area was busy and had a good atmosphere. The menu is very much classic pub fare. My wife and I only ordered mains,... More

I was invited to meet up with family at this location and being a pub had expectations. Wow was I so wrong, the very friendly locals as well as the staff. They were so helpful in advising on our order as we were a family of 6 adults and 3 children. I would highly recommend this venue to any one... More

Once again I have returned to Lancashire and could not wait to book a table for lunch at The Eagles Head at Over Kellett. At this time of the year we made the right choice to book a table, as although the restaurant was not full we got our usual table by the window. The service was exemplary as always... More
