We visited the Eagles Head to celebrate my daughters birthday. My daughter and I had steak pie with chips and 4 different type of veg, and it was very tasty and a reasonable price. My husband had the ribs, which came with coleslaw and chips, he was a bit disappointed with the ribs. My son in law enjoyed his meal,... More

Good food, large selection on the menu together with a good range of beers. The service is very good with pleasant stall ( never seen the landlord smile yet ) lol Pensioner specials on some nights together with other special nights. Well worth a visit but you may get hooked. Advisable to book in advance.

I visited The Eagles Head for an evening meal with a friend and was really impressed by the welcome, the excellent food and value and the service. We ordered and were served fairly promptly, although they gave us time to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. The steak pie was very tasty, made of real meat and home made. I could not... More

Recently ate at the Eagles Head with a friend. We were greeted by a lovely couple who I believe to be the owners, who are both friendly and very accommodating. I opted for the steak pie, whilst my friend had the fish and chips. Both were absolutely delicious, clearly all freshly made, and served with lovely fresh vegetables and gorgeous... More

We all went here on new year's day for a bite to eat. As there were 11 of us we had booked in advance. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu is kind of your standard pub menu but the food itself is really good, I mean really well cooked and presented. 10\10 A+++++++

We called at the Eagles Head as it is close to the M6. Classic pub grub for two with prawn cocktail, potato skins, fish and chunky chips and ham salad (loads of ham). Good beer and attentive staff. Recommended stop off if you are driving along the nearby motorway

After several visits to this pub as usual excellent food and good value for money. My husband had fish & chips today and it was exceptional.

My wife and I shopped till we dropped on Xmas eve, then called at the Eagle on the way home. Fish and chips, better than the chippy in the village. Fresh haddock, big portions, excellent value, all washed down with a good beer. Delicious, to be recommended.

Once again I visited the Eagles Head for lunch whilst on a visit to the North. I was so pleased to see the place packed to the rafters with visitors. Having said that the food was as good as ever, and the service was exemplary even though the place was busy. I have been there in the past and almost... More
