Huge appetites catered for..

A lot of fresh air prompted us to try this pub's fayre. Massive portions of delicious traditional home-baked food. Freshly cooked and pre-seasoned, with courteous and prompt service. Recommend you go with a huge appetite!!

A small reunion of 7 friends met up for lunch. Luckily we had booked as at only 12 o'clock the place was buzzing.A centre table of about 16 diners could have slowed things down but the friendly efficient staff had our meals in front of us in no time at all. Hot to the last bite, tasty and generous plates... More

Visited on a busy Thursday night during half term. Good service - made to feel very welcome and staff were attentive without being overly so. After a day walking the enormous and tasty portions went down a treat. Make sure you leave room for the delicious dessert menu though. Fantastic.

I don't really understand all the hype, it's an average to poor looking place, the inside is a little grotty and looks a bit dirty. This balanced the very much surroundings however, the village it's set in is lovely. I had chicken wings to start which weren't very nice but these balanced the very nice baked camembert. The mains were... More

We visited the Eagles Head to celebrate my daughters birthday. My daughter and I had steak pie with chips and 4 different type of veg, and it was very tasty and a reasonable price. My husband had the ribs, which came with coleslaw and chips, he was a bit disappointed with the ribs. My son in law enjoyed his meal,... More

Good food, large selection on the menu together with a good range of beers. The service is very good with pleasant stall ( never seen the landlord smile yet ) lol Pensioner specials on some nights together with other special nights. Well worth a visit but you may get hooked. Advisable to book in advance.

I visited The Eagles Head for an evening meal with a friend and was really impressed by the welcome, the excellent food and value and the service. We ordered and were served fairly promptly, although they gave us time to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. The steak pie was very tasty, made of real meat and home made. I could not... More

Recently ate at the Eagles Head with a friend. We were greeted by a lovely couple who I believe to be the owners, who are both friendly and very accommodating. I opted for the steak pie, whilst my friend had the fish and chips. Both were absolutely delicious, clearly all freshly made, and served with lovely fresh vegetables and gorgeous... More
