I felt we should write this review as we have visited the Eagles Head on many occasions and also had our 20th Wedding Anniversary celebration and my 80th birthday celebration with 18 friends. Our MG car club have also had lunches there with up to 24 people attending after a club run. On every occasion we have enjoyed excellent food,... More

I have eaten here many many times and find it astonishing I haven't written a review! Sometimes you want quality, others you want quantity. Here you get both!! This coupled with the traditional pub atmosphere many crave make it an absolute necessity. Order what you like off the menu or the specials and I'll guarantee you'll be back to work... More

Another excellent, reasonably priced, quality meal in pleasant surroundings. The young serving staff are great but mine host could do with honing his people skills

Had a lovely meal, with excellent service in lovely relaxed surroundings with friendly staff. The food is generously portioned and yet offers excellent value for money. The fact that it is busy and you need to book as it's justifiably popular.

Really tasty food, lots of choice and extremely good value for money! Make sure you haven't eaten all day when you go as portion size is very generous :)

We had a family meal here for 8 people and found all the food to be very good, with generous portions. Large standard menu and daily specials. My partner and I both had fish pie, which was delicious, followed by choc / strawberry sundaes. Others in our party had lamb henry, which was great. Kids menu too. Two of the... More

To celebrate my birthday I booked a table for a party of 7. I didn't want to travel too far so this local pub was ideal. The group included my 2 young grandsons. We were allocated a round table in the main dining room, which was splendid as often the people on the end of an oblong table miss out... More

Called in at The Eagles Head during a 5.5 mile circular walk. Got caught out in the rain and despite being dripping wet through, we were allowed in with the dog. Menu looked very inviting so decided to have a meal. Food was very nice and plentiful. Only criticism is that whilst the staff were very busy, pleasant and helpful,... More

Went on a Saturday night without booking as there was only the two of us they managed to squeeze us in the anti-room, the main bar area is much better but we where here for the food not the surroundings. The staff very attentive and quickly set the table and brought menus. Traditional pub food but a very good choice... More
