This restaurant is only one of a few select places in Asturias to have a Michelin star, and from the entrance itself you it is clear you are in a fine dining experience. In our family reunion to Gijon, visiting the cradle of our grandfather, our taxi driver asked if we had been to Asturias before, I said, yes of course, and he answered have you been to Casa Gerardo? No, I responded, then he said "if you have not been to Casa Gerardo you have not been in Asturias". The next response... More

Definitely worth a detour ... maybe not quite a trip.
