Value, nothing special.

Servings are huge. Prices are cheap. Cooking is traditional. Service by the owner was disjointed - the wine came late enough to miss the meal and a salad landed as we finished our third and final courses. No acknowledgment of the lapse. Maybe an off night. The food was okay but having eaten... read more

For starters this place is tiny, maybe twelve tables at most. We had to wait just a few minutes and as soon as we were seated we saw people stacking up outside and opting to wait. The food here is Grandma cooking, hearty pasta dishes, large portions, very flavorful and shamelessly traditional. We had a fabulous bean soup, pasta with... More

We visited at lunch time during the week. We had the restaurant to ourselves!! Bruschetta with tomatoes and garlic are just divine. My husband had pesto pasta and potatoes and I had ravioli. Wow!!! Then the lovely owner have us se limoncello for after lunch! Thank you for having us 😊

My wife and I along with her sister and husband had the joy of visiting this beautiful town and stayed in the area for several days. We were given this restaurants recommendation by our local innkeeper and we enjoyed it so much we are there twice. The seating is very small and Antonio, the proprietor welcomes everyone. The food varies... More

Food & service is excellent. Owner is friendly & happy to oblige all requests. Probably the best unpretentious restaurant in the area.

My wife and I enjoyed a very nice evening at La Buca Di Enea. The owner was kind and interacted with all of the guests and the food and wine were excellent!

Not a place to go if your surroundings matter more than the food. Its such a tiny place we hesitated......but wanting real food rather than affectation we went for it and were totally blown away. I have never tasted tomatoes so good - the bowl of salad for 6 euro would have served a family of 4 - rather than... More

Yes, 'been there done that' kind of thing but there was something about this place and food that we have been talking about it for the last few years. On this trip to Tuscany we went back to see whether it was as good as last time. Ordered practically the entire menu and every dish that came from the kitchen... More

Buca di Enea was recommended to and reserved for us by our B&B hosts at Fonte Bertusi. After strolling around Pienza (we ADORE Pienza) in the early evening, we had a nice dinner in this tiny, convivial, and fun place. Food was nice, if not spectacular. We shared a HUGE salad and a couple of secondis (my wife wanted the... More
