Very Good and easy for parking

The restaurant is simple but exactly what you need at Pienza. Pasta and Meat with a good local wine ( try always the local wines at Tuscany ). Food well prepared with some local touch. Parking is available nearby. Try the local wine offer by them, very honest.

Small restaurant located a few blocks from the tourist part of town down a side street but easy to find. Worth the walk. We liked the down to earth homey atmosphere & when we told the waiter we liked the food, he got his mother-in-law, who is the cook, out of the kitchen. She didn’t speak any English but we... More

We had eaten here several years ago and enjoyed the experience. We decided to go back when we recently revisited Pienza. Where do I begin? The house wine was undrinkable. It was thin, sour, and insipid. Serving wine like that in Toscana should be against the law. I asked the waitress to take it away as it was undrinkable. She... More

Despite non-central location in our favorite Tuscan city, it is its family no-pretence atmosphere and great food that brings back over the years. One of the best mix of bruschetas. Pasta with truffles is simple but incredibly mouthfiling. Good for families with small children

Lost in a small village in the middle of Tuscany (just going there is already beautiful!) This restaurant offers great quality food for affordable prices. The staff is really nice, and it's 2 minutes away from Pienza's centre.

We went to the restaurant with my wife and 4 month old baby. When the waiter saw the pram, it was as if it was the worst thing that could ever happen to him. He didn't talk to us, and asked his colleague to find us a table - the colleague did not show any more enthusiasm. We were really... More

We are looking for special places in each region we visit trying to get a taste of the local cuisine. We had a beefsteak and pasta, none of them being tasty (we are quite familiar with the Italian cuisine after many vacations in this country). If you want just to get a meal for a decent price it's OK, otherwise... More

The restaurant is slightly outside of the main walking area but is worth it for the ambience and food. The outdoor seating offer a nice oasis with beautiful landscaping to really get you into the Tuscan spirit. The food was very good, we ordered pizza and pasta. A wonderful, charming restaurant in a great setting.

La Chiocciola has both indoor and outdoor seating 50 meters from the old city of Pienza. Maria, the owner-chef, upon learning about my gluten intolerance issue, prepared special gluten free pasta, desserts and breakfast cakes. The food was among the best I had ever eaten. Those with normal diets also found the food to be excellent because it is all... More

I really have no complaints about the meal I had here. My ravioli and tiramisu were homemade and just right, wine was good and reasonably priced, service was always with a smile... Sure the decor is a bit outdated but it was warm and friendly with the general feeling of dinner at grandma's house, which was kind of nice :-)
