voglia di CASTAGNACCIO

We were very lucky to find a table as we went for lunch without a booking on a sunny October Sunday. There was the last available table for my husband and me. The menù was: one starter (25€) divided for 2, a main dish each - one pasta (20€) and one Thai rice (18€), one "castagnaccio" (8€) just for... read more

We were encouraged by friends to visit Foresta's Restaurant. After the first course we were thinking we had gone to the wrong place. The Amuse Bouche was very promising but after that it was all downhill. The waiter brought the wine to the table opened it with a flourish then poured it directly into our glasses without giving my husband the... We had dinner at Foresta the other night, it was the first time we went there. The location is nice, on the quiet seaside of Marina di Pisa. The restaurant is very elegant, the service is great, overall a high class spot. The speciality of the house is fish - and this is what we had, and it was just... More

My husband & I, Paolo simply adore Foresta. A family run restaurant overlooking the sea in Marina di Pisa has all the charm & charisma of an excellent quality restaurant who know their food & their wines - both Alessandro & Barbara - brother & sister - wonderful & hospitable people are excellent sommeliers and keen on making you feel... Very nice and elegant restaurant specialized on sea food. The lunch menu was of very high quality, the service very nice, and they welcomed children. The view was excellent. The restaurant had direct access to the beach. During the summer, one can also eat outdoors on the terrace.

Wanted to drop in on a place with white table cloths....wow! Exclusive I would think.... only about 10 tables and 2 servers. No reservations but the Europeans eat late, we don't. Lovely understated dining area alongside the water. The food.....oh, how heavenly! The soup, salad, fish ,pasta....and the STEAK!!! Mouth watering, melt in your mouth piece of beef nirvana! (OK,... Tried this restaurant again after eating there 3 years ago just before our wedding. Pasta is still great and the service is generally slick and relaxed. Nice atmosphere. But needs a bit of loving care and attention (ripped parasols and holes in table cloth). Amuse bouche was not good. Also, bread brought to the table was stale. Shame. I'd eat... More
