Dropped in with the family for a celebratory birthday lunch as we were in the area and we felt like seafood. It was Oct and most seaside restos were closed. We weren't disappointed. We ordered clams, baby squids, seafood risotto and roast fish and all were fresh and tasty. The owners were quite accommodating with our daughter who is allergic... More

We were in Marina di Pisa by chance on a sunny but fiercely windy day and sought shelter in the first reasonable looking restaurant near the leisure port. We had no reservation and walked into a restaurant with only a couple of people in it but by the time we left the restaurant was more than half full with what... More

Having read other reviews on Trip, we were really looking forward to something a bit special from this restaurant. However we were more than a bit disappointed. My husband chose the starter of 5 different plates - which should have been really exciting but turned out to be boring (someone needs to teach the chef how to make a real... More

Having spent two weeks in Tuscany, we had the great fortune to go to Ristorante Da Gino on our way to visit Pisa. We have had many different meals of all kinds throughout Tuscany and Da Gino was the whole package. From the moment we walked in (without a reservation) we were made feel welcome, a little like the way... More

When we arrived they showed us the selection of "fish of the day" and we made our choice and selected a turbot which looked almost alive. Enjoying the sunset and the house wine while eating al sort of starters we almost forgotten that we ordered the fish and when it came I thought that we never can finish it because... More

Each August for about 10 years, we have begun our Italian trip by over-nighting in Pisa to eat dinner at Da Gino in Marina di Pisa. We are never disappointed. The fish is of such excellent freshness that they do not need to employ elaborate treatments: they just concentrate on getting the best flavour possible from it - whether it... More

There is not much more to say, Da Gino is without a doubt a highlight in fish and seafood at the Tuscany coast. The family run business (est. 1966) serves the freshest and tastiest food, prepared in that distinctive mediterranean way. Good selection of wines and just great desserts and italian coffee. Top place for unforgettable dining!

Good atmosphere, decent choice of wine, fresh fish. Excellent quality. Do not expect anything fancy, this is the best way to taste good fresh fish and seafood.
