From the outside it is only ok. Inside It is unexpectedly welcoming, with friendly hosts, excellent food, good service and not expensive. We went twice.

Stayed at neighboring Castelletto hotel, which is fortunate to have this little Osteria at its doorstep. With a well-travelled family of 5, youngest 20 years old, we sampled the menu twice and did not find anything that wasn't delicious. The simplest dish, a bruschetta of tomato on bread was memorable for the sweetness of the tomatoes and had one of... More

We ate here one night while staying at the Castelleto nearby. There are about 6 tables. The food was amazing. We had pasta, bruscetta, and veal. It was one of the best meals. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. Wonderful wine selection too.

After deciding to roam in the car from where we were staying at Vertine, we chanced upon Montebenichi after a long time driving along dirt tracks with stunning views. We decided to drive into the village and saw this beautiful Osteria apparently closed at around lunch time. But as we drew up to park suddenly someone appeared and the restaurant... More

Osteria Orciaia di Montebenichi is the go to place for unique Tuscan flavors that carry the secrets of generations. Gino and Simone make it special buying fresh produce daily and creating a wonderful atmosphere both on the terrace during the warmest months and inside during cold nights.

The directions we got for this out of the way Michelin rated restaurant were to make a sharp turn at the sign for Monte Benichi and not to be concerned about the small road, we'd be going the right way. Just keep going up and the restaurant is at the top. We did go up and turn and up and... More

We visited the Osteria twice during our stay at the Hotel Castelletto located in the same village. L'Orciaia is the only restaurant in the village, but it would not have to shy competition! Their pasta with tomato sauce is superb and lovers of tripes should try the "Tripa" there. L'Orciaia has an extensive list of Tuscan wines of good quality.... More

I don't know which we enjoyed most, the food, friendly staff or the atmosphere, but enjoyed anyway. Place is located at the top of the hill and when the sun sets down, air cooles, wind breezes and evening comes with quietness, you can sit down and truly enjoy your dinner in this family run restaurant.

It is always great to return to Osteria l"Orciaia. It is a family run restaurant with typical - but very well-prepared - Tuscan dishes. The mozzarella with the baby plum tomatoes is something that I really look forward to eating every time. I had wonderful homemade ravioli with a fresh tomato sauce and homemade fresh sausages. My husband had pici... More

We stayed at Villa La Selva and our host Giovanna recommended this great little place. We were greeted by the owner, Gino, who seated us quickly. Our server, Julia, attended to our group's needs with her limited English. They specialize in Sienese style pork ragu sauces, fresh pasta, sautéed spinach with cheese, and house and bottled wines. Eating outside was... More
