Great food, warm people

We dined here twice while staying in the nearby Castelletto di Montebenichi. The food here is excellent and you'll understand why when you sink your teeth into the offerings. Several highlights - bruschetta with the sweetest tomatoes, tuscan chicken liver pate, homemade pastas and trippa. My... read more

Gino, the chef and Simon his son who manages the customers make a great team. The food and service are both outstanding in this out of the way restaurant in this small village. We have dined here a couple of times during out stay and will likely return. Excellent!

Great food. Fantastic wine. A small, family run restaurant that has a well deserved local reputation for all of the right reasons.

Would go again. Great service and food. Quite quiet in the restaurant but it wasn't a problem. The fresh pasta is incredible and interesting pork shank

Normally I don't complain about the menu or waiting time. Personally I found the menu a bit small. less dishes to choose from . different pastas with all the same sauce. The food was good. But eventually we skipped dessert because nobody was coming to the table anymore. It looks that the locals were helped better as another "tourist" family... More

From the outside it is only ok. Inside It is unexpectedly welcoming, with friendly hosts, excellent food, good service and not expensive. We went twice.

Stayed at neighboring Castelletto hotel, which is fortunate to have this little Osteria at its doorstep. With a well-travelled family of 5, youngest 20 years old, we sampled the menu twice and did not find anything that wasn't delicious. The simplest dish, a bruschetta of tomato on bread was memorable for the sweetness of the tomatoes and had one of... More

We ate here one night while staying at the Castelleto nearby. There are about 6 tables. The food was amazing. We had pasta, bruscetta, and veal. It was one of the best meals. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. Wonderful wine selection too.

After deciding to roam in the car from where we were staying at Vertine, we chanced upon Montebenichi after a long time driving along dirt tracks with stunning views. We decided to drive into the village and saw this beautiful Osteria apparently closed at around lunch time. But as we drew up to park suddenly someone appeared and the restaurant... More
