Excellent menu and food. The cave visit alone is already with the visit, but then tasting the food makes it unforgettable.

We felt like honoured guests. Had a tour of the kitchen and the amazing wine cellar. What a special evening.

What can you say when so many positive articles have been published? We arrived early, at about 8:00, because we had an early tour in the morning, figuring we would be out in a few hours. We left at almost midnight. We ordered the tasting menu, because we had read so much about it. The wine list is immense, but... More

The ambiance, staff, menu, wine list, visit to the wine cellar, all make this an unforgettable evening. We decided on the tasting menu, as the a la carte has so very many choices, all dated as to when they were first introduced on the menu. The food was beautifully presented, and you could tell the pride that each staff member... More

We booked for dinner here many months before arriving having read the reports and being very keen to sample a further Michelin starred chef. Very personal greeting on arrival, magnificently set out room, super ambiance, knowledgeable and easy to talk to staff. Wonderful menu and wine list, great knowledgeable help with the wine choice. We chose La Traditional menu, excellent... More

Rarely is there a culinary experience such as this! From the moment we arrived we were treated as honored guests in the home of our hosts. After a tour of their Wine cellar with ancient tunnel and a trip through the gorgeous kitchen, we enjoyed a culinary experience like no other. Mario and Livia were present throughout our many exemplary... More

With all due respect to those who found this restaurant disappointing---my wife and I had dinner with two friends and we shared many dishes. Each was perfectly balanced in flavor and quite exceptional. The visit to the cellar and a chance to chat with the owners made it particularly fun, but we came for the food and left with wonderful... Simply a fabulous culinary experience in an extraordinary contour! Gracious family owned and run restaurant in a small and quiet village surrounded by the suggestive sceneries of the Amalfi coast. The Iaccarino family makes the 'house honours' to every and each of their lucky guests in an extraordinary, effortless but extremely attentive manner. Seasonal local ingredients produced by their own... More

We stayed at Don Alfonso 1890 for 3 nights in September 2014. This was our first visit, and we ate twice in the justly famous restaurant; once on the degustation menu, once on the traditional menu. Each was accompanied by local wines recommended by sommelier, Mauricio; at around 50 euro a bottle the wines were both interesting and good value.... More

As a 2 star Michelin restaurant our expectations were raised. The history of the hotel and restaurant, the elegant dinning room, pointed to an enjoyable evening. Service throughout was polished if a little showy,- a pair of tongs comes out and goes for your napkin on your lap to change it for the pudding courses. Somewhat disconcerting to see a... More
