Reale's location is stunning. Set in an old convent that has been lovingly restored, the restaurant is spacious, modern, and light. The view from the tables across the valley equally pretty. The greeting here was very friendly, but the service remained professional, without being very friendly, or warm. the five course menu (€100) started with a set of interesting, and... More

The restaurant is very far from all of more or less well-known touristic destinations in Italy. And we never considered it as a lunch or a dinner base during our numerous trips through Italy, even though we knew that it had 2 Michelin stars. However this year it got its third star and we at last decided to visit it... More

Look at the menu. The food tastes as good as it looks. The meats were as good as the fish dishes. We tried almost everything on the menu in 3 nights and would have repeated some again and again. ..veal jelly, shrimp with anchovy pasta, pigeon...I am not a food writer ( obviously), but I am a lover of great... The experience starts with managing to find the restaurant, end with a delicious sensation of an exceptional moment. Mr Romito surely has a strong ego, hopefully this drives a terrible energy and high talent, you can predict more for him. Here is the recipe : keep your roots and further deepen them developing from where you were born, attracting the... More

Reale presented us with a series of challenges. The first was finding it. Located in the countryside, it is reachable by driving through the outskirts of the smallish town of Castel di Sangro. But this only became clear after we had found the place. Apparently, Reale sees no need to be helpful to first-time clients struggling to find their way... More

It was a fantastic experience of really high level cuisine. The luxury location is in a austere monastery of 16° century completely restored with excellent panorama. Foods are a nouvelle cuisine inventions of the chef Niko Romito. The service in the dining room is coordinated by Cristiana Romito and is at top level. The selection of the wines is superb,... More

Breathtaking location & superb attention to detail from the food to the attentive service of their wonderful staff. Luxury service with out feeling stuffy, but instead excudes a modern relaxed & comfortable vibe. There is an abundance of staff who cater to your every need. I went to the restaurant but also got to look around the other spaces, such... More

Eating in this restaurant is an adventure. The two star Michelin awarded chef combines Abruzzo tradition with inventive preparation. After some intricate 'amuses' we started with a sardine soup with scampi, pasta with a filling of green peas, followed by the ultimate quality lamb meat, prepared in four different ways. If you like, accompanied by excellent local wines from Abruzzo.... More
