Nice place!

I heard that Paleochora used to be frequented by hippies, and apparently some of them stayed behind. There are plenty of New Age type shops and a couple of veggie restaurants in Paleochora. The food here looked amazing and we wanted to try a few dishes. As we are small eaters, we hoped to be able to combine portions of several dishes on one plate so as to get a taste of them. This however was not permitted; only one meal item per plate, so I ended up with just a rice dish,... More

After some great vegetarian food in Chania we weren't expecting to find similar in Paleochora but we were wrong. We stayed there for four nights in the middle of May this year and ate at the Third Eye four nights running! The range of dishes was varied and the portions large. The staff and the service were great. Highly recommended.

I think the Third Eye has been going for about 25 years and it continues to provide the best vegetarian food in Paleochora - and the inimitable presence of the owner and his brilliant choice of music always make for an unforgettable evening.

I have very fond memories of lunches and dinners at The Third. Eye. Wonderful atmosphere, food and kind staff. Looking forward to renewing my acquaintance with this special place later in the year. Kali orexi!

A great selection of veggie dishes every day with a changing menu daily. Our 7 year old wanted to go every day for lunch and really enjoyed the food as did we. This is a friendly family run business, great value.

We ordered a Third Eye salad with a variety of all salads they offer. Very fresh and delicious. As main dish we chose an Indian Korma with potatoes, mushrooms and broccoli and a dish with artishokes and fennel. Both are excellent and very tasty. Even the white house wine was very good. We only stay for one night but we'll... More

There is a nice atmosphere and a nice garden. The food is vegetarian and cooked well enough. They could improve on this, but some dishes are good. The managers are friendly and sometimes there is live music. Every time I come back to Crete, I come back to eat here.

I have been using this restaurant in palachora crete so much that it is like a second home to us,the staff are like friends,so friendly helpful and extremely efficient,my consumption of Raki is given my wife something to complain about in a nice way,but the food is out of this world,I would honestly say that if you are in palachora... Being a vegetarian, the Third Eye was a 'must' on our visit to Paleochora. The service was very quick and totally lacking in any personal service, so that the meal was over in 40 minutes. The food was quite greasy with the whole feel of the plates, cutlery and wine glasses being rather grubby. It was not a good experience... More
