Best meal (and deal) in Monteverde

We stopped by here on our way back from the Curi Cancha Reserve. It sits across from the school, and we had a great seat on their second story patio…beautiful in the rain. The service was friendly, fast and respectful, and the food was delicious and "tipico." Be sure to try the fried yucca... read more

I love going to soda's, as it serves local food at affordable prices. Also, I don't like to write negative reviews for local restaurants like this, but honestly we were so disappointed I had to write a review for other people not to get their hopes up and also be dissapointed, which finally also hurts the restaurant. We ordered the... More

Some how this place right across the public high school is a saving spot if you are in a hurry and need a quick place to eat. It is not expensive at all but the food is not that great either. It is a traditional Costa Rican cheap cafeteria. Inexpensive but good enough if you need to eat in a... More

Came here due to reviews and definitely not a let down. Restaurant is an extension of owners home. Dinner was good and fresh and personable service. Kids even got little toys as souveniers. Very sincere gesture.

We ate here for dinner one night as it was just down the road from our B&B. The food is reasonably priced (which is good, because a lot of Santa Elena is outrageously expensive) and delicious. The owner smiled the whole time and seemed very proud of his business. It felt like sitting in a dining room of his home,... More

Really good food, those smoothies are awesome, natural fruits, and the sea bass, just what we needed, approved.

We enjoyed our evening. Food was decent, large portions and decent service. It was the owner/chef and his son who took the orders. Prices were cheap.
