The sushi was fresh and well presented. However, it was very small for the price. The hot dishes were blend and nothing special. We ordered an udon noodle soup and some kind of fried rice. Both leave something to be desired. We didn't mind paying a little more since we were celebrating my birthday but the food just didn't do... More

We stayed in Monteverde for quite a while, so we tried lots of restaurants most of which were satisfying but all foods tasted pretty much the same. This however, was a unique and unforgetable expirience... Given other peoples negative reviews we hesetaited slightly in trying it but we were VERY impresed. The food was rich in flavor and beautifuly presented.... More

I don't like it. We don't eat good. We order a roll and they give an other for free. Both rolls wasn't good. We can't finish it.

We fancied trying something different while in Costa Rica and made the mistake of going here as opposed to an Italian. We expected it to be nowhere near as good as Sushi restaurants in other parts of the world, but went with open minds. However, Musashi managed to fall short of even these low expectations. The miso soup is awful,... More

I would have to disagree with those who are making bad reviews of the Shushi of these place, to me has been one of the best I have had in Costa Rica. Some one say that the roll were to big, I just think their mouth is to small. I had Shushi in La Fortuna and it was no so... More

OK, after being the only ones in the restaurant for lunch and watching 14 various people come, look at the menus and prices, and leave without eating, I'd like to make the following suggestions to the owner: (A) lower the prices! We were somewhat shocked by the final bill for lunch for our family - you could eat 2 meals... More

We had some nice sushi here. Service was good. However when we received the bill there was 23% tax added on and we were told service was not included. In some other restaurants they add 13% tax and some also add 10% service charge. Any restaurant that does this states it on the menu or a sign on display. However... More

We were looking for a change of pace. Did not expect Japanese food in this town. When I saw the menu I first thought that I was converting colones wrong. The food is nothing special and many menu items were not available. I cannot understand the first review below.

My boyfriend and I read about this place in Lonely Planet and decided to check it out for a change of pace and it's claim of a "classically trained sushi chef". What a mistake. The food is completely overpriced. Approx $14 for a regular flask of sake. Maki rolls were in the $10 range. Prices wouldn't be an issue for... More

Everybody has their own opinion, but anybody who has ever had a maki roll (makizushi) or sushi made by a Japanese or even a Korean would find Musashi food disgusting and a waste of money. As always, we started with Miso Soup. It was not authentic (and I spent years eating both business lunches and gourmet food in Japan), but... More
