Nice restaurant, good food

We all enjoyed our meals (family of five, ages 8 and up). Worth a little splurge. It's a nice restaurant, good place to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day hiking. It's not a low-cost dinner place, but more reasonable than some of the options we had.

Hidden atop a plain storefront , this family-run hidden gem pays exceptional attention to detail from the initial "hola" through the fresh, delicious made-to-order specialties. Nathan, the toddler host, is an added bonus. Don't overlook this terrific restaurant !

We had dinner there on our first night in Monteverde, after our ziplines tour with Aventura. We enjoyed eating outside good crispy pizzas with a nice bottle of white wine suggested by one of the waiter. The food was plenty enough to take to our hotel for lunch the next day, service was very good and a dog kept us... More

My seafood loving girlfriend and I had a lovely meal here on our first night at Monteverde. The food was good my chicken was decent, my girlfriend, who normally picks the better dish, had sea bass which was definitely tastier! However, the most memorable aspect of the meal was the two large glasses of white wine we had each! The... More

We loved the food and the service at this small family run restaurant. We loved it so much that we decided to go on two consecutive nights. There is a good choice of both meat and fish dishes. My husband and I both had fish the first night and meat the next. The avocado sauce and the Carrabean sauce on... More

Mar y Tierra was an excellent recommendation by Freddy at Cabinas Eddy. It was elegantly decorated, and the service and food were very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there. They have an extensive selection of meat and seafood, and a decent wine list.

I was definitely suprised by this place. It was late and we were looking for a place to eat that was opened. We didn't think much of it when we went in but the staff was so friendly and the food was delicious! The Monteverde cheese plate is a must try.

This cute family restaurant has both local and international food (pasta and some burgers and sandwiches). We loved the place and the food was very delicious. We ate the Monteverde soup and as the main dish the Carribean sea brass - amazing! Delicious! The staff was so friendly and the prizes are reasonble.
