Very tasty meal. I went there for dinner upon a recommendation from a local and was not disappointed. Clean, great service and nice view. It is upstairs so don't miss it. Prices were reasonable.

Let me begin, We are English, and very picky. Loved it, owner great, all food great. Surf and turf perfect. Spend dollar here. Pura Vida.

The food and wine was great but pricey for the area. But that said, it was well worth it. We had appetizer, entree and dessert here and it was all good. The cheese plate had a good variety that paired well with white or red wine. I can't remember much about dessert except that I loved it. :) I would... More

The owners told us they had only reopened 5 days before our visit. The food was very good, we had an appetizer of bread and local cheese from the Monteverde cheese company, and ordered pasta and a typical plate, both good also. The children of the restaurant owners were adorable, and the daughter, maybe 6 years old, visited us a... More

We ran out of time to visit the cheese museum so I was delighted to get to sample the cheese tray. The cheeses were delicious! We also had great steak and a good bottle of wine. They also have a good sampling of expensive alcohol. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it.

We were walking around Santa Elena and thought this looked like an ok place for dinner. The food was ok but nothing special. The staff were very friendly and the service was good

But the meal was really pretty mediocre. The restaurant has a prime location in the center of Santa Elena, but just wasn't that attractive.

There are many restaurants in Monteverde. Our guide recommended three "sodas", which are places that serve traditional or "typical" Costa Rican cuisine. We tried all three, and ranked this one #3. The other two were Tico y Rico (which we ranked #1), and Sabor Tico (which we ranked #2). See my reviews of these latter two sodas. We went here... More

I had the special on xmas day. Admittedly I should have asked how much the special was. I had the pork ribs, which when BBQ'd were about $12. The rib (singular) was fatty, and cost 25 on the bill. They should have said this was so expensive, as the rest of the meal was decently priced. Feel somewhat cheated.
