My husband and I drove around Costa Rica for 10 days, and we were really excited about stopping at this restaurant. Unfortunately, when we got there, it was dark and boarded up, and there was a single paper sign on the UPSTAIRS (not even downstairs) window that said they were closed for the slow season and would reopen at another... Loved this little gem! Great service and great food. Beautiful views of the rain forests and the fog moving in.

I've become used to paying $30 for dinner in Costa Rica for anything other than beans and rice, but generally with mediocre ambiance and poor service. At least here the ambiance and service match what I get in LA. All the food is fusion, and I found the burger and the churros quite good. It's also great for a couple.... More

Do not go here. Overpriced and the beef was awful (I don't mean just awful, I mean INEDIBLE). They have perfected the concept of killing the beef TWICE! Yuck. As regular visitors to Monteverde, we now laugh every time we drive by the restaurant remembering our horrid experience. Never again.

A very disappointing and over priced meal made worse by the rude and pretentious antics of the waiter who could only have been auditioning for the part of the snobby French waiter in a movie. After being told there were no burgers, many of our group ordered starters to try and keep the price down. However these are truly tiny... More

We had an overall awesome meal here. The beet and carrot soup was great, the empanadas were fantastic and the ribs were very flavorful, but a lil fatty. My wife's shrimps were fishy but the churro dessert was incred! We'd go back. Service was excellent. Music was a little weird- mellow euro club music.

Really wonderful creations by the chef, very talented and all our dishes were beautifully cooked and presented. It's a little bit hard to find this place, but it's worth looking for.

We chose this spot based on recommendation of a bartender and I'm going back to put another tip in his jar. Modern fusion menu with local products. The cheese plate (cheese is a well known feature in Monteverde) was spectacular both in presentation and flavor. Spare rib and shrimp entrees were way above mark. As we walked out my wife... More

I'm from Philadelphia so when I first came to Costa Rica I couldn't find any places that had me impressed enough that I definitely needed to go back to. Until I discovered Trio by Aborigen everything about this place was amazing! The food was awesome, the staff were inviting & trained well, the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing night... More

The attention to detail for every plate that came out was unbelievable!! We tried almost all the options on the menu between all of us at the table and there was not one dish I did not LOVE! I will definitely make a trip back here to eat again!!
