Lunch was a carnivore's dream

We were here as part of a wine tour and this stop included lunch. First - the wine presentation in the wooden glass holders was stunning. And so was the presentation of lunch, which included 5 different types of meat/seafood. They clearly know how to showcase wine and food! If you leave... read more

Drove an hour from Queenstown to this vineyard by a gorge for their Bbq lunch cooked in wine barrels. My wife didn't fancy meat and they kindly offered Salmon instead. Sadly it was very wet, almost soggy. Waitress said this reflected the cooking process, well not to our taste. I tried the beef and lamb which were both excellent. Chicken... More

You must go. Their lunch is Devine. On their rustic platters the food is fresh and cooked in their unique barrel cookers. Really delicious and different. Wines are robust and again a quirky tasting array is on offer. The setting is really unique. Not enough is being said about this hidden gem. It is really quite special. We highly recommend... More

Went here with family as part of our trip to Queenstown and just before embarking on the Central Otago Rail Trail and what a treat it was. Our lunch was the BBQ and four deliciously cooked meats - beef, lamb, chicken and pork - I am salivating as I write this - accompanied by the wine stave with a number... More

We would have loved to have experienced what all the recent reviewers did here at Wild Earth, but after walking in and being looked at by a young lady who cared not to speak to us nor greet us at all, we lingered around the coffee machine where another young lady was having coffee training and kept her back turned.... Driving from Lake Tekapo to Queenstown something caught my eye on the horizon and I decided to stop at Wild Earth Vineyard. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of my entire trip in NZ as the wines and food here is simply to die for! To add to the magnificence of this place you are situated... More

A group trip to wild earth for their banquet sample of wild feast and matching wine. It was a windy day and they happily moved us from outside to inside and we had a large group of 12. Everybody enjoyed the experience and the food yummy so give it a try.

Dining at this wonderful place amongst the craggy rocks with the raging river alongside is magic. The food is so different and delectable meats melting in one's mouth along with the salads and of course the wines. Service was excellent with very friendly staff and along with the ambience at the end of the lunch I just wanted to stay... More

The Food and Wine here was simply exceptional. Of particular excellence, was the short ribs and the wines featured one of the easiest and most enjoyable to drink Pinot Gris. Outstanding service made this a truly wonderful experience. Thanks team
