What a beautiful setting. Set amongst the barren but interesting Dunstan Range this is like an Oasis. Lots of lovely wines to try. And Merino Meat to buy from the chiller.

Stunning venue, just needs a decent restaurant to back it up, so sad as this used to be a great place to soak up the sun and enjoy the wines and ambience. Hopefully new owners will get back to basics and make this a place to return to

We made an unscheduled stop here ebb route to Queenstown and were happy we did. Even though the restaurant was shut, the very friendly lady at the counter let us trade some of their sustainably made, central Otago red wines. We quite liked their reserve label. If you are in the area, call ahead to see if they are open.... More

Despite the fact that the word restaurant is listed on all advertising for this place, when we arrived for a nice romantic lunch & wine, we waited about 15minutes before we were advised they no longer have a restaurant, and so we couldn't get any food or wine by the glass, only wine tasting. Needless to say, we were very... More

The setting is magical and the location is better, with the snow capped mountain peaks in the background. The winery is very good and staff very helpful.

We went to Northburn as a group of around 30. They had a lovely fire roaring and great atmosphere established. Although the wines themselves weren't the best we have tasted, the food was very well presented and cooked. It was dark so we didn't see outside, although we have been there at lunchtime a couple of years ago. It is... More

We made an unplanned stop here on our way from Wanaka to Queenstown and were very glad we did. A picturesque setting on a clear shining day. Staff were attentive and very knowledgeable. The lunch platter showcased some excellent local produce; too bad there wasn't more, it was all too delicious!
