My Husband and I were staying near Lake Wanaka for our honeymoon and we chose to go wine tasting while there. We decided to stay toward the Cromwell region for our first day of tastings. We drove down the 6 hitting as many wineries as we could and returned up the 8 back into Wanaka. On our way back up... More

On the way to Queenstown myself and three friends stopped here for lunch. It's such a beautiful place, even going up the drive, with amazing views across to Cromwell! We waited about 10 minutes to be seated then were led into a lovely rustic dining room. We ordered a bottle of the Pinot Rose which was divine, breads and dips... More

I cannot rave enough about this place! This place serves one of the best food I had in NZL and the view from the shed is so picturesque with a cute little pond in front. Lovely service, food, wine and ambience! A must go if you are in the Crowmwell area. If you have the budget, don't give this a... More

We visited this winery while travelling around the South Island. The wine is superb and the goats cheese soufflé is to die for. The location is beautiful and my husband and I agreed it would be a fantastic wedding venue. Highly recommended!

Excellent scenery, great layout. Lamb was the best I've ever had in a restaurant in NZ. Wine is superb. Highly recommended.

I loved everything about our visit here on a hot and sunny March day. The cellar and grounds with a view over Lake Dunstan are breathtaking with both service and food to match. We both had the fish of the day which was monkfish with scallop butter and served with organic, home grown kale, potatoes and salad. With a bottle... More

We took our daughter, chef, out to lunch when she was visiting. It was a gorgeous Autumn day. We sat outside as did the other diners. Northburn"s "The Shed" has a wonderful setting with its heritage style building and lovely garden all looking out across Lake Dunstan. We couldn't fault any of it. Our waiter was lovely and quite charming.... More
