How did this miserable place score any higher than one star. We visited on 10th July 2014. Had to wait 20mins for someone to take our order. Sausage and chips for me, pizza and chips for the kids......not rocket science is it? Apparently in Newtonmore it is! After a further wait of 10 mins, I got my sausage and chips.....unfortunately!!... More

Staying in Glentruim we used the grill several times. Good honest food at a reasonable price. Don't expect 5 stars but if the lorry park is full then that speaks volumes. Clean with friendly staff, bar available and free Wi-Fi.

We were tired and hungry after more than 20 hours of journey. The Pub was fully booked and the Newtonmore Grill the only alternative (by foot).

Stopped here for a lunch when travelling past. Looks like a standard motor grill from the outside - but inside it is clean, comfortable and the service and food were excellent. Would certainly call in again - worth travelling the extra mile or two off the A9 to find!

Starting a busy first day of our holiday in the Newtonmore / Kingussie area, we stopped here for breakfast after a 2.5 hour drive. Thankfully, the Grill was quiet so service was very quick. The place is clean and the food was good and welcoming. It also has a bar for the evenings and very big parking area. Wonderful view... More

Stopped off in motorhomes as there was ample parking space. From the outside it looked very much 'a truck stop'. Very varied menu and specials board. Menu obviously catered for bikers and truckers but also catered for general tastes too. The food was first class, tasted home made and generous portions. Staff were polite and attentive. Excellent value for money.... More

It's basic and cheap but the food is good and servings are generous, and you don't have to dress up! Where else can you get pie, chips and beans for a fiver? As a local resident I sometimes eat here with riders from the local stables, and I continue to be impressed.

Had one of the Newtonmore Grill's wonderful all day breakfasts. Filled me up until the next day! Well cooked, served with a smile and plenty of it. Recommend a stop here for good quick food. Bonus is that it has a wonderful view from the American style dinner

My husband and I stopped here to eat with our son who has Autism. We were made very welcome the food was quick, plentiful and really tasty I had salmon, potatoes and veg, my husband had Haggis and Mash and our son enjoyed sausage chips and beans. Highland hospitality at its best here. Could have sat and admired the panoramic... More
