We stayed awhile

You have to walk down and up a steep hill but once there it is quite a delightful Inn by the River, We were with friends so the time past quickly.A very enjoyable evening.

My wife and I booked a last minute weekend break and arrived at the pub around 7.30pm on Friday 15th May for a drink and some food. The venue is right by the River Wye with great views from the tables overlooking the river. Upon arrival I was pleased to see a range of real ales on offer and ordered... More

Arrived at the Inn after canoeing downstream from Ross on Wye. As a large group of 16 young men, we were delighted by the quality of food and speed of service - it is rare in my experience to have so many excellent covers arrive at the table at exactly the same time as per the order! The Innkeeper was... More

We were staying locally and visited this pub twice. It is well situated overlooking Symonds Yat and the River Wye. The staff were friendly and there was a good range of food on the menu and a fair price. The drinks appeared a little pricey but overall a good place to stop for lunch and a drink.

Visited Ye Old Ferrie Inn during our recent group hen weekend in Symonds Yat. We had dinner and lunch at the pub. Excellent staff, very friendly and welcoming. The food was yummie and decently priced. Would highly recommend and will certainly return.

Food is nothing fancy but it suits the surroundings and it was all well prepared and very tasty. Caters for all sorts as on the night we were there there were back packer types and a hen night! All of them having a good time.

Good range of local beers and even has own cider made for it. Most of staff very friendly and welcoming. Food was locally sourced and of very high quality. Pub has great character and the ferry adds to its quirkiness. Well worth a visit

we stopped here for a drink after a 4 mile walk along the river. Staff were pleasant and cheery. Good choice of real ales, red wine was good and coffee hot and served with hot milk! Would have liked to have sampled the tasty and varied menu, but was wrong time of the day to do this, lovely views over... More

Lovely place and super staff. Food at a great price and was lovely. A wide selection of ciders, and enjoyed a relaxing drink by the roaring fie - What more can you ask for.
