Having got my Yats muddled up we parked in an overcrowded summons Yat East and then had to walk up river to cross by the rope ferry, to get to the ferry boat inn. Which like arriving in Venice by water taxi is the way to do it. We were made welcome by the staff as soon as we boarded... More

I currently live locally and have always enjoyed my visits to the Ferrie. A great range of drinks available and the food is really high quality. We sat outside as the evening was sunny and we were just on the rivers edge - which allowed us to watch the famous hand-drawn ferry and the many canoes on the river. All... More

Had a some nice pub food here last week, staff were friendly, if I were the barman I would of pushed the chap in the water who made a cheap rude remark when he said he'd have to leave it ten minutes before taking them across the river because it would still be slippery after the rain, he handled it... Food took a while but when it came it was lovely. The staff were very helpful. We got chilly outside and moved. Food found us without difficulty.

arrived at lunch time and after seeing some of the meals we decided to share one of the ploughman's boards between us. it was very tasty and more than enough for us. Later in the evening we went in for food, this time choosing steak- rib eye and rump. both were cooked very well and served with chips and onion... More

Great choice from the menu, with generous servings and good friendly service. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a large selection of dishes in the breakfast menu. The host was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in his customers, makIng us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend eating and staying at Ye old Ferrie Inn.

This pub is a very friendly welcoming place with a varied many to suit all tastes. The food was good value for money and the service from the young staff was excellent. The whole pub could do with a lick of paint both inside and out

My friends and I enjoyed a lovely meal with great views over the river. Very friendly landlord and excellent service from the young staff. Will definately return when we are next in the area. The only thing we did notice is that the building could do with a bit of TLC and re-decoration inside and out but it didnt deter... More

On a drizzly day we went for a walk at Symonds Yat and ended up at here for lunch as we'd read the great reviews. Considering it is the no 2 restaurant in the area, we are disappointed with the quality of the food. The place was quite empty but we can imagine on a sunny day, it would be... More
