On our recent vacation we visited this pub a few times (and others!) and this was, in our opinion, the best one in the area. Great British pub food and an interesting variety of pump beers, and when needed a roaring log fire. What set it apart from the other pubs in the area was the generous and humorous hospitality... We had a fantastic lunch here whilst on a day of canoeing down the river Wye. The menu choice was excellent and the quality of the food we were served was almost unbeatable. They also had an excellent choice of ales which was very welcome after a morning of hard canoeing. I will definitely be returning next time we are... More

Ye Old Ferrie Inn is well worth the ferry/walk from the other side. This pub offers proper comfort food at value for money prices. The setting is lovely and inviting.

Had a great evening with a river view from our table ... Good menu choice and excellent service even though it was a busy Saturday night plus the prices were very reasonable compared to other pubs in the area... Would definitely recommend

Unfortunate we visited when awaiting delivery of new oven so limited menu choice although what we ordered was tasty.

Excellent location and activities. Great food, beers and ciders. Amenable, friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere. What's not to like?

The chewiest steak I have had in my life. Made to feel unwelcome. Could only have a take out bottle at 10.00 pm. At 11.13 pm were asked to leave as we were too noisy and there had been complaints. We were a group of three adults, sat taking and laughing by the river. It should have been idyllic.

Great spot over looking the River Wye, with plenty of outside picnic tables to enjoy drinks and food. Didnt try the food this time but it looked lush, we just enjoyed drinks. Staff friendly and highly recommend the place.

Food was well cooked and well presented. We had fish & chips, a burger, the belly pork and macaroni cheese all were well cooked and very tasty. The onion rings were great. As it was a nice evening we sat outside in the sun, but it also looked comfy inside and they welcome dogs and children.

This is in a fantastic location next to the river; although the outside could do with a bit of a spruce up. There is a fair selection of beer and a nice; if not expansive menu. There were 11 of us and unfortunately one starter and one main course was missed; hence the average for service. Otherwise its a nice... More
