arrived at lunch time and after seeing some of the meals we decided to share one of the ploughman's boards between us. it was very tasty and more than enough for us. Later in the evening we went in for food, this time choosing steak- rib eye and rump. both were cooked very well and served with chips and onion... More

Great choice from the menu, with generous servings and good friendly service. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a large selection of dishes in the breakfast menu. The host was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in his customers, makIng us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend eating and staying at Ye old Ferrie Inn.

This pub is a very friendly welcoming place with a varied many to suit all tastes. The food was good value for money and the service from the young staff was excellent. The whole pub could do with a lick of paint both inside and out

My friends and I enjoyed a lovely meal with great views over the river. Very friendly landlord and excellent service from the young staff. Will definately return when we are next in the area. The only thing we did notice is that the building could do with a bit of TLC and re-decoration inside and out but it didnt deter... More

On a drizzly day we went for a walk at Symonds Yat and ended up at here for lunch as we'd read the great reviews. Considering it is the no 2 restaurant in the area, we are disappointed with the quality of the food. The place was quite empty but we can imagine on a sunny day, it would be... More

As a family get together we had planned a walk-pub-walk sort of thing, but the less brave resorted to just "pub" as it was pouring and cold after a decent week of sunshine and high hopes. The fireplace at table 10 just got us stuck and well tuned for nibbles and lunch. all done with a super speedy service (drinks... More

Lovely location on the river. Car park is down a very steep slope though. Ordered food after a morning canoeing. Service was reasonably quick, staff fine. My partner had a very nice beer. Not a huge selection on the menu but typical pub food. Both ordered scampi and chips. Not cheap (£10) but was tasty and well needed after the... More

Went after a lovely days Conoeing and ordered the fish and chips as it looked lovely when they were bringing this out for others but was very dissapointed. I don't think they had at all bothered deboning the fish as found 10 bones in the first half, it was greasy, not particularly tasty. Niether was the mayonnaise or the chips.... More
