Four adults and 2 under 3's. Food and service here was top quality. Right from reserving the table, through to service which fully considered our particular needs and great food we were well pleased with our experience. This was our first visit, but I am sure we will come again to enjoy a great walk by the river in addition... More

Popped in after long bike ride and walk for a couple of beers, great location with wonderful views and good choice of ales would highly recommend.

After reading the posts for this restaurant I was very disappointed. Granted, we could not get an inside restaurant booking for the 2 nights we were around, however the inside bar area and outside balcony were poor. Wobbly tables and uneven chairs, dogs laying about, untidied tables. We has to clear our own table. Food on the menu not available.... More

My family and I were holidaying in the area and had previously ate a tasty lunch earlier in the week (be warned it can get very busy!) So had no qualms about treating ourselves for a meal there on our last night of holiday. We were welcomed warmly by the attentive staff and had a drink in the bar whilst... More

We went here for an anniversary meal out, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The beer and wine was good and well kept, the food was excellent, we had a very tasty steak and a very good maple chicken dish followed by a chocolatey, nutty mille feuille and a raspberry and blueberry assiette. The atmosphere was very good with... More

This is an excellent place to stay if you can afford it. A 5 star Bed & Breakfast overlooking a stunning part of the River Wye. Staff good. Lots of excellent local beers and ciders. Excellent menu or just a coffee. Good place to start a walk, cycle or canoe to explore Symonds Yat East.

Great place for paint and a meal by the river Wye. There are tables right next to the river where you can watch the boats go by. Good selection of real ales.

Food was brilliant, sitting next to the river watching the world and the canoes go by! The sandwiches are gorgeous, would def like to go back if we lived closer. The children's food was proper food not just fish fingers and chips!

In the area on holiday and were a party of 6 for lunch. Welcoming pub, really nice staff, good menu and food was great. We had a steak (perfectly done) a couple of ploughmans (very generous and with lovely chutney), fish and chips, great pie of the day, and the vegetarian halloumi option. A few pints of excellent local beer... More
