Always a pleasure to visit the Saracens Head. Friendly service, food and drink first class and the views to die for. You should not visit the Saracens without a walk along the river road toward Monmouth. A favourite way to spend an afternoon.

Lovely lunch served on a busy bank holiday Monday. The outside seating area was very clean and tidy and the service was quick and very friendly. Lovely sandwich and ferry mans lunch and great chips! Well worth a visit and especially as it's dog friendly

A sizable confit of Welsh lamb to die for - for £10? Yes please. Good sized kids portions? Yes please. Ok so there are cheaper meals out, but I couldn't beat this for value - a price/quality balance that will ensure we go there again as my first choice should we find ourselves in the area. To the chef: any... More

I've been here multiple times now. The lunch menu burger is huge, but dinner is just as good. Chilled out camping evening, reserved a table in the bar area so we could keep our dog with us, played battleships and drank and chatted with lots of friendly customers with dogs too before starting our meal; the steak is a good... We visited Symonds Yat on a lovely April day, and chose the Saracens Head thinking it would be a great meal in a fantastic location. We were right about the location, but the food was nothing special, and very overpriced! £7.50 for a poached egg and five pieces of asparagus is way over the top. That set the tone for... More

Had the most amazing lunch here whilst visiting with friends and our children. Service was good, staff very friendly and smartly presented, and they even ran the old fashioned boat to take you across the river! As a kayaker, I will be frequenting this pub more often to sample the fantastic menu and relax by the river after a paddle.... More

The food was of exceptionally good quality. The steak and blue cheese panini (a grilled ciabatta, in fact) was generously filled and cooked to perfection, and the chips were some of the best I've ever tasted - soft and fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. Wonderful. The bad: the service was very slow, even though it was... More

A lovely setting and is ideal if you are staying there as all you need is there, have been twice and have booked another visit. The food is very good and excellent value.

Every time I visit the area on business I make a point of eating at The Saracens. This time I came with my family for Sunday lunch, once again blown away at how they manage to consistently exceed expectations. Shared a baked camembert to start, delicious and well presented. The roast Beef was just perfect as was the roast pots... More

Second time I have been here this week. One on business which was great, really fantastic food and good company. Now with 3 little girls. I especially like the Eaton Mess and walking out next to the river when it is dark listening to the owls.
