A vast array of local ales and good food together with lots of smiling faces make this a winner. Excellent views and parking and lovely accommodation make this place a good choice. At 90 to 139 pounds a night for a double, shall make most people blanche, but if you have this kind of money then it is great.

We visited on one of the busiest days of the year and the service was faultless and very timely. The food was excellent and not your run of the mill pub grub. A lovely spot to sit, eat and watch the world go by.

We hollered to draw the attention of the ferryman and we were taken across the River Wye to this beautiful country inn. With a warm summers evening we had a drink outside overlooking the amazing view of the River Wye. The restaurant is quietly understated but serving superb local produce beautifully executed and presented. The wine selection was good too... More

Lovely country pub on the banks of the Wye at beautiful Symonds Yat East. Our party of 4 arrived as the pub was having a power cut, but they gave us a good welcome and quickly listed items not available due to the lack of electricity - only a few though. We started with a platter of sausages, some local... More

One of my favourite pubs. Lovely outdoor seating area with magnificent views over the river wye. Ideally placed for a refreshing drink after a walk down from Symonds Yat Rock. Haven't eaten here but the food looks delicious. Gets very busy on warm weekends but i have never had to wait to be served drinks.

Best pub grub ever! A bit pricey, but worth it. Nice rustic decor - lots of flagstones, pine furniture, log fires. Friendly staff. Be sure to book a table as it's very popular!

It was a real pleasure to eat at the Saracens Head today. We were served promptly and with attention to detail. I am gluten intolerant and made that known to our charming waitress. She spent some five minutes or so working through the menu with me identifying meals that were GF and those that could be modified to meet my... More

Couldn't fault the food it was really excellent. We did have to remind them to bring vegetables and chips as did other people but they were very busy and rushing about everywhere. My suggestion would be waiters/ess were assigned their own section of the pub as we had about 5 attend us and they kept bringing extras which we had... More
