Michelin seafood

We had heard good things about this place in the past and failed to get in last year, so we planned another trip around lunch here. It did not disappoint! Nice people, great food, great wines. Esther and Encarna give the smile that goes with food more than worth the detour. It is worth staying a couple of days, actually. Congratulations and wish you another remarkable decade.

Had a wonderful lunch at Yayo...a lovely experience, not to be missed. Menu is innovative without being "cursi" and think that it is worth a detour to Cambados...though the town is wonderful in itself.

I have eaten in some of Spain's finest Michelin starred restaurants, and the experience here was equal to the best of them. Yayo and his sister, the sommelier, put together a superb, multi-course lunch with perfectly paired wines. Service was beautifully timed and well executed for my group of 20 wine and food enthusiasts. To miss this restaurant if you... More

Great to find this superb restaurant, in almost out of the way Cambados. Some Michelin-starred restaurants can intimidate purely by their status, that could never happen here. Made extremely comfortable from the moment we entered, we enjoyed every moment of this classic dining experience. The food, fine, full of taste and with real local flavours, accompanied with beautiful regional wines... More

Meal was nicely decorated with more or less good taste. But if I need to compare Michelin restaurants, this one was't an gastronomic jorney i expected, even best service it wasn't. So it is worst it's value, but nothing more.

I was in this restaurant 7 to 8 years ago and had good memories about this place. Second visit was worth it :) service is still exellent and food very tasty. And you my ask why then only 4 pionts out of 5? Because in one star michelin restaurant you expect more personal touch.... But, as I told before, food... More

A perfect lunch for our wine tour. The 20 of us enjoyed a spectacular 9 course tasting menu to accompany a fine selection of Galician wines. The four and a half hours drifted by with fun and tasty variations of the Galician seafood traditions. Mussels, Bream, Hake, Mackerel with faux noodles and skin made from the sea. Without going into... More

I always approach a Michelin starred establishment with a little trepidation (we have six in our province alone) but as soon as you walk into Yayo Daporta all those apprehensions seem to slip quietly away. The Menu Degustación 2015 was fantastic. A roller coaster of flavours, textures and colours combined with 5 different Galician reds and whites. The Merenzao and... More
