Had a great meal here Friday evening. Restaurant fairly quiet as we came in 2100 approx, just a few couples, a party of 8 came in rather later. Service was most friendly and quick. Enjoyed our meal of calamares, monkfish, and meatballs. Full marks for wine list. Interesting selection but most... read more

Great restaurant! Exceptional Menu del Dia, go for the Moroccan pastries and mint tea for pud, best I've tasted outside of Morocco. A few Moroccan dishes available, Cous Cous and Tagine as examples, but the fish is always fresh and tasty!

I was looking for countryside real food and was extremely pleased with the authenticity of their dishes. In the winter, areas far from the sea "retreat" on a more moutain-like type of food that sticks to your ribs without necessarily being heavy. Absolutely a must visit in this area near the volcano!

When you come to the Palafrugell area as often as we do, if there's one thing that pees you off it's that lack of choice of food. There's loads of restaurants, but they all serve a choice from a short list of foods unless you're into shellfish and other exotic sea creatures which I'm not. We are well and truly... More

Spain still has a territory in North Africa and I guess the owners or the chef comes from there, as the menu mentions dishes like humus and couscous. We went for the Pica Pica Seafood menu, €27,50 pp. Pica Pica stands for shared dishes and we got 7. Grilled bread with tomato and achovies. Deep fried baby eels. Squid. Two... More

Good value for money, different dishes cooked with high quality fish. A nice place for lunch, good service and great air conditioning in Summer.

We loved our dinner at Xado. It is not the first time we go, but everytime is even better. We enjoyed some Anchoas de la Escala (anchovies) made at home, some clams and th best of all, Gambas de Palamos (if you haven't tried them you have to, this is some of the best Spanish food, together with Jamon de... I very much enjoyed our meal here. The menu was both typical Catalan and also some Moroccan dishes. We tried some of each and liked it all. I had arroz negres which was very tasty. The puddings were interesting - crepes, walnuts and gin and tonic ice cream. I don't normally have a pudding but was intrigued by the novel... More
