A Birthday treat

I took my Daughter here for her Birthday lunch last weekend. We did not book we just turned up and given the place was empty I was somewhat surprised when the young lady said they were "fully booked". It was like a comedy sketch!! anyway she said we could eat if we were gone by 3.00pm which gave us... read more

Es Grau is a brilliant restaurant I dine at many times in summer. Their seafood and fish is caught daily by the family and served in the evening. Particular highlights include a whole Monkfish, and superb fresh clams. The service and wine is also very good. I prefer to sit outside in summer, as its a little hot inside. Book... More

If you are able to manage the Spanish language only , you are in a fantastic place for seafood and fish, family place but local service and care. A fantastic place to discover Menorca seafood but reserve in advance as very popular.

We had the daily menu, at 25 per person with starter and main. Shrimps and mussels good, fried fush terrible although the side potatos and vegetables were excellent. Didn't had desert, wine expensive. If you come here go for the grilled fish as the fried fish is just pieces of smaller fish with no taste and questionable quality. Crowd over... More

We had an amazing lunch at this delightful restaurant just up from Mahon harbour. It was packed with locals and spanish holiday makers which we took to be a good sign. You are offered from a hand written list whatever the fishermen have brought in that day. So we ate Lobster with chips and barracuda. It was previously located on... More

We went to this restaurant for lunch one afternoon after finding it booked at night on the weekend. The restaurant is run by a young couple and our server was one of the owners. The menu is hand written, daily, and is in Spanish, so if you are not fluent in Spanish and the local names of fish ask for... More

We were looking for something off the usual tourist trail and found this lovely little bar in the pretty village of Es Grau. Specialising in interesting tapas, the most wonderfully fresh fish and other more authentic menorcan/spanish dishes. We had a selection of Tapas the first time we went and tried a Madrid style tripe dish, octopus, cuttle fish and... More

At the end of a wonderful walk along the Menorcan coast, eleven hungry singles dined with our host, John of menorcawalkingholidays.com....simply the best holiday I have ever had and the food in this restaurant is wonderful. Set back off the highway you would probably drive past looking for somewhere 'nice'...don't!!!....take the drive up the rocky road. Starter, followed up by... More

This is a lovely fish restaurant and a lovely holiday experience. This was our second visit and despite booking well ahead we were given a table inside our first though was that it would be ok as there was an air con unit. However it was not switched on! The food was delicious but we waited much too long between... More
