Invitation lunch from wonderful friends

We have just returned from the most excellent lunch in a prized setting with extremely good happy service. I can't say how much our lunch cost as we were invited But what I can say what we had to eat was very good. We started with a plate of pulpo galega, followed by our main dishes of hake and... read more

We have visited two nights this week, both in the evening without booking. Both times we were sat inside but given a table right by the windows overlooking the bay onto sa masquida. The staff were very friendly, service was quick and out of a party of six no one had a bad starter or main out of the two... More

Cap riog is set up above the small resort of Sa Mesquida near Mahon. The views are beautiful and in the evening what a way to eat gorgeous seafood and watch the sunset over the Mediterranean . We went there for my birthday and it was a real treat . The staff were extremely helpful and nice, the food was... More

This is our "local" and we have visited so many times in the last 30 years. Our last visit two weeks ago was such a disappointment. Crammed into the terrace with hordes of out of control children. Uninterested snail pace service. Food average with minute, dried-up mussels. And where were the delicious home-made chips we used to enjoy? Time to... More

After reading the reviews we decided to visit Cap Roig for lunch. We had not booked but the place was empty, despite this we were refused any outdoor seating and told indoors was the only option. We said fine but were then also refused seating by the window. No tables had reserved signs on them so that annoyed us a... More

We specifically searched this restaurant out based on press and reviews on trip advisor. The local is beautiful no question, and we had a fantastic cheerful server, however, two of us bought the swordfish-below average for sure, one of us got the local gambols-average and my local monkfish with mussels and homemade tomato broth was again average. The salads were... More

There isn't really much to add to the other positive reviews for Cap Roig. The view is breathtaking especially at sunset, we were particularly lucky in getting one of the best tables on the terrace. We started off with a round of drinks and soon after we ordered our starters - a combination of sea anemone and garlic prawns. The... More

Where to go for my 73rd birthday treat- why to Menorca's best fish restaurant doubling up as one of the island's best viewing points. The variety of fish dishes starters and main courses (plus a few meat options) is excellent, for Menorca there is a good range of deserts, and a pretty good wine list and the view is consistently marvellous.... Cap Roig is the place to have lunch or dinner if it's not dark. The views are spectacular and the food is good but not great. The bill however was great! It's worth a visit but stay away from Lobster as they know how to charge. There are far better restaurants in Mahon but few have the vista.

The reviews on TripAdvisor were enough for us to want to visit Cap Roig and see for ourselves, however the reports of high prices did make us dither. We were driving near Mahon one evening and were all hungry so decided that we would indeed head out there for a meal. The restaurant looked modern from the outside, we studied... More
