Looks lovely...but disappointing and expensive

Was attracted to this restaurant because of its unique location on a floating platform in the bay at Mahon. We decided to have lunch one day as a celebration we were allocated a table on the outside of the rail just inches from the sea, the waiter was rather haughty and dismissive and we were on... read more

We had a very traditional Spanish meal in this restaurant which is on a floating pontoon in Mahon harbour. The meal started with 5 different tapas, followed by a main course and 2 desserts. Wine and bread were included in the price of 16.50 euros. Service was really good, the meal did however last for over 2 hours.

It was the only avalaible restaurant because some others were full of customers. We had a "menú de degustació". A lot of dishes but with any kind of creativity from the chef, the same dishes we could have had on 1975. Just the rice with fish and seafood was very good. The service could'nt speak Catalan, it means the languages... More

The ambience and setting are excellent along with delicious food and fabulous wine. The service is brilliant, the waiters are very attentive and happy. I have been to this restaurant twice and am looking forward to going back. Tonight they also had live music which was an added bonus.

Great views over the port and staff very friendly and helpful. Our daughter had carbonara which arrived before our meal which was fine with us as it takes her longer to eat. We had the fillet steak which was outstanding. We got bread rolls but there was no charge. Would definitely recommend and will go back. We paid 70 euros... More

I was lured in as I imagine most tourists are by the fantastic location. Its essentially a floating restaurant on Mahon Harbour so as you can imagine the view is wonderful, (I also enjoyed chucking my bits of bread to the fish over the side) Unfortunately the service was very poor, my girlfriend was brought the complete wrong dish, When... We ate here on the 6 September. A return visit having eaten here on a previous visit last year. On our last visit we had the paella which was excellent and the service was very good. This time however the service was very slow and the food not very memorable. Fish is the speciality but the Hake we both had... More

Just been tonight and feeling ripped off. No fish on the menu seemed to be available so had to go with specials. When asked to confirm price before ordering English seemed to be a problem. Nice location but food average and as we found out very over priced. Avoid at all cost.

If you do, go to La Minerva restaurant in the old port in Mahon, Menorca! A bit pricey but it serves mainly fish and seafood dishes! The food and service were spectacular! We felt welcome right from the start even without a reservation we were seated on the restaurant decked terrace right on the water where small motor boats, sailing... More

We dined here not out of choice but out of the need to eat! It was the only restaurant we could get a table at the end of Festival. The port was heaving! Fair play to them we did get a table and they coped pretty well with the volume of people. We dined outside the restaurant. There were seats... More
