Decided to eat here on a very quiet Tuesday evening after Easter. We ate on the floating restaurant across the road which is a lovely setting on the water (and despite obvious Mosquitos we weren't bitten!). I've seen other reviews about awful service but on our quiet evening the service was impeccable and friendly (maybe because there were only two... More

nice restaurant, has outdoor seating/eating area on floating platform opposite the restaurant as well as two or three floors inside, which is in the port of Mahon. Open all year round, used often for Rotary lunches

We enjoyed the fixed price lunch menu while seated on the pontoon, feeding the fish for entertainment. Service was great, the food was good and the prices were reasonable. What's not to like? Try the John Dory, tasty and ample portions. Tell them I sent you!

Food was great, especially lobster dish with rice - local lobster is sweet and delicious - cheese is delicious Felt very authentic - food was local and fresh Dining on pontoon floating on harbor - quaint and fun as well

This place seems to divide opinion but my two experiences were very good. The location is top class - a pontoon on the water. The waiter on both occasions was friendly and efficient. The food my wife and I had was super. Being vegetarian, I was delighted to try marrow for the first time while my wife, who isn't vegetarian,... More

We usually check with trip advisor before visiting anywhere! But on this occasion, we didn't. We had walked past and thought this place looked amazing due to its location, floating on a pontoon with harbour view. Checked the menu and all seemed Ok so we booked a table for 7.30pm (opening time). We arrived and there were only 2 other... More

We tried this place out on Saturday as we had walked past it a couple of nights before i had noticed how nice it looked. However, as the old saying goes, never judge a book by its cover ! Upon arrival we were shown to our table and then given a menu each and practically ignored for a good while... More

Like many others we were tempted into the restaurant by the location & view. The main restaurant was full so we had to go on the adjacent boat with white chairs. Although our drinks arrived quickly we had to wait 30 mins to order our food. There was no apology & the waiter just said they were busy! During this... More

Went here for lunch with my wife & 2 children, our order was taken by an unfriendly waiter, we were served some bread rolls which we assumed were included in the overall cost, only to discover that we'd been charged €7.40 for the pleasure of eating the bread rolls that we never ordered. The children's food which was very average... More

We used Tripadvisor to search for restaurants in the area as usual, but this one didn't come up as high in the rankings as we'd hoped. In the end I judged by the level of activity (waiters frantically running about, and quickly filling seats) that someone must know something different. The fact that part of the restaurant was floating pretty... More
