Friendly staff. Excellent for fish.They will fillet the fish if you don' t like bones. This is a small restaurant by the harbour. We have dined there many times.

Fifth or sixth visit and its always brilliant. Squid in garlic for starter was just lovely.Followed that with a butterflied seabass for three of us which was sensational. Very good restaurant. Excellent seafood and meat on the barbeque. Really is the best on the front. The other restaurants are bustling and huge but Arco de Velha is a class apart. It is more expensive. If you are a regular visitor there is always a warm welcome. Worth a visit.

It should have been a lovely dining experience based on reviews. Unfortunately customer service was poor, the time we had to wait was ridiculous. The meals when they came were very poor. If you do visit this restaurant stick to fish.

I liked everything from the moment you are shown to your table right to when you are leaving. The food, staff and service are excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

Visited 'Arco' twice during a short stay in Alvor. On each occasion, all the elements of a most pleasant evening meal were addressed. Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent and staff were most friendly and helpful. This is a lovely place to eat.

I visited this restaurant with my partner and two children aged 6 and 11. Having walked around the town on previous nights we chose this restaurant simply because it was busy...always a good sign! Been there lots of times. You feel like at home. Marco makes your meal even better. Try any grilled fish all good. Chocolate muss is amazing.
