Really enjoyed the food and service was great. Our server both days - From Italy, Verona - made us comfortable and the chef too was courteous to step out and get some feedback on the food. Will definitely go back next time we are in Geirgange

Slightly above average price (~180 NOKs on average) but for the portions you get and the quality definitely one of the more delectable restaurants in Geiranger. Had the burger and salmon sandwich which we were both very pleased with. Fresh and tasty patties and generous smoked salmon serving.

We did a day trip to Gerainger and needed somewhere for lunch. This was the first place we saw and could not have been more delighted. Sitting outside on the deck overlooking the water with a glass of white wine. When the food arrived we were amazed. The presentation and quality were exceptional. I had crusted hake and my husband... It is not obvious that it is a restaurant, and it is not obvious that it is going to be good, but OMG the food is fantastic. We went there twice for dinner and for lunch and were not disappointed. THe place sets itself apart from other more touristy restaurants.

We had dinner here on night in August. There are not many restaurants in Geiranger. This by far was one of the best restaurants we ate at. My husband had a pizza with cod on it that he raved about. I had the burger which was excellent. nice outdoor seating with beautiful views

Lets face it. In a tourist town with 7 restaurants, we didn't have high hopes. Brasserie Posten was a very good surprise. I did find it a little confusing as to just what it is. Is it a place for coffee and pastry? A place for a beer? A lunch place? I guess it is all three. There are three... More

Chose this on the basis of other reviews here and was not disappointed. An unpretentious brasserie on the edge of the harbour. Fish soup was fantastic and the veal steak the tenderest meat I've ever eaten. Fantastic collection of micro-brewery beers to choose from. Highly recommended!

We had a fish soup and fish ragout (sorry we don't remember the name in the menu), both were norwegian specialty, and local beer named jubilee or smth. The meals were unbeatably delicious, the beer was a good combination of price and taste (with these norwegian prices it is very important). We liked the service very much as well. The... More
