We had a fish soup and fish ragout (sorry we don't remember the name in the menu), both were norwegian specialty, and local beer named jubilee or smth. The meals were unbeatably delicious, the beer was a good combination of price and taste (with these norwegian prices it is very important). We liked the service very much as well. The... More

Order the hamburger, it's superb! The balcony outside is worth seeing, if the day is sunny, sit outside. They also provide blankets if you're visiting later in the evening.

I had the post burger, and it was really very tasty. A really scenic location. Service was good. Appears small, but, we had great weather and sat outside waterside.

My wife and I like to come here frequently during our visits to Geiranger. When the weather is nice the outdoor seating area is where you want to be. Normally we like to enjoy a cup of coffee here and watch the activity in the harbor. Every now and then, however, we also have dinner here and we have not... More

Lovely small, intimate brasserie right on the waterfront in Geiranger. Limited menu, being the end of the season, but well cooked, beautifully presented and friendly staff. Glad we got here before the cruise liners because it was quiet and relaxed.

Fantastic place just by the see, and much better than expected from the outside. We had pizza and burger and the food was great but stil with there own taste - and that's not always that easy with this kind of food.

We loved this small restaurant and ate their twice during our stay in Both meals were excellent. The restaurant opened two years ago. The chef/owner is committed to using locally sourced high-quality ingredients. Simple preparations with great tastes. The owner was head chef at the Union Hotel for six years before starting Posten. Located on the main dock next to... More

After spending the first half of our cruise in damp rainy conditions it was wonderful to arrive in Geiranger to sunshine and warm weather! After a trip up to Dalsnibba and to the fjord museum, then walking around town (not that big) we were looking for a break. My husband and I found seats out on the deck. The service... More

Nicely prepared and locally sourced food served by friendly waiters; weather allowing they have a nice outside terrace. Definitely a haven in the kingdom of fast food around. Thank you for existing!

We have just returned from a cruise to Iceland & Norway. One of our stops was to be Geiranger and as we intended to spend the day in and around the village I had done some research into what to expect. As it turned out we had a delightful visit to both Geiranger and the Posten, although I must at... More
