Andrea's Il Pirata is a first class restaurant and we were treated like family. This restaurant served fresh seafood caught daily and presentation and taste were amazing. The Trupiano family restaurant is full every night with faithful customers who have come to enjoy this quality of dining and friendship. They are open every night, except Mondays. We stayed here on the recommendation of a friend in Oceanside, Ca, whose brother happened to own Il Pirata. Only 15 minutes drive from Palermo airport in the small town of Cinisi, is the best kept secret on what fresh fish should taste like while in Sicily. Try the Involitini pesce spada-why don't they make this in the States. The... More

Recommended by the B & B Kunesias and it was worth a visit. Good food and service. Tried the tagliata which was good. The wine OK by the carafe and well priced. Seem to be a lot of local people eating.

I was advised by locals that is good place to eat and it was true. Very good food with excellent service. I had salad and seafood risotto, very tasty.

Lots of locals go for lunch, so we figured it must be good. And it was. Large spaces filled with tables, the place won't win prizes with interior design or atmosphere, but who cares as the food more than compensates for this lack. My 6-year old daughter had the zuppa di cozze (mussels in tomato sauce), the best we had... More

I know Andra, the owner since 20 years and never been disappointed about the food he serve with his son Giuseppe and others...don't know much about prices but they should be in the avarege for the location. Cinisi is not so a great place where to spend your full holidays, but could be ok for a while and Andrea il... More

My friend and I had fish (Orata) and a sald. Fish was the best tasting we had in Sicily. Friendly service. Filled with local residents. Good food, good value!

We arrived late in the evening at the Florio Hotel next door. Since the hotel kitchen was already closed, they suggested we go eat at the trattoria next door. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, the service was a bit slow but friendly, and the restaurant was very busy until past midnight.

We arrived at the restaurant and it was empty. After ordering our dishes the waiter came back 5 minutes later to check if he heard correctly. I ordered the ravioli (12 euro), my father ordered scampi (14 euro) and my brother ordered swordfish (10 euro). The ravioli and swordfish were good but tiny portions. The scampi was "good if you...
