worth the drive for the best fish in town

We stayed here on the recommendation of a friend in Oceanside, Ca, whose brother happened to own Il Pirata. Only 15 minutes drive from Palermo airport in the small town of Cinisi, is the best kept secret on what fresh fish should taste like while in Sicily. Try the Involitini pesce spada-why... read more

Let's be clear from the outset: the food here is absolutely outstanding. The fish dishes (including the pasta dishes) are delicious, and worth a trip. Service is friendly although somewhat informal. The restaurant's decor is somewhat simple, so that one would not consider it a fancy place. But if you concentrate on your food you won't be disappointed!

Best seafood ever!!!! So much food and so fresh. The people that work there are amazing. The price is good specially for the quality/quantity of the food.

We called in here for lunch and ended up staying 4 nights in the hotel, the staff and food were fantastic. We were made very welcome, and the staff were extremely helpful. We stayed for New Year's Eve and they booked us a table for the evening celebrations, we had a huge 15 dish dinner which was a fish festival,... More

Andrea's Il Pirata is a first class restaurant and we were treated like family. This restaurant served fresh seafood caught daily and presentation and taste were amazing. The Trupiano family restaurant is full every night with faithful customers who have come to enjoy this quality of dining and friendship. They are open every night, except Mondays. Recommended by the B & B Kunesias and it was worth a visit. Good food and service. Tried the tagliata which was good. The wine OK by the carafe and well priced. Seem to be a lot of local people eating.

I was advised by locals that is good place to eat and it was true. Very good food with excellent service. I had salad and seafood risotto, very tasty.

Lots of locals go for lunch, so we figured it must be good. And it was. Large spaces filled with tables, the place won't win prizes with interior design or atmosphere, but who cares as the food more than compensates for this lack. My 6-year old daughter had the zuppa di cozze (mussels in tomato sauce), the best we had... More

I know Andra, the owner since 20 years and never been disappointed about the food he serve with his son Giuseppe and others...don't know much about prices but they should be in the avarege for the location. Cinisi is not so a great place where to spend your full holidays, but could be ok for a while and Andrea il... More
