We decided to spend the last evening of our vacation in Puglia in the Osteria del Tempo Perso - the Osteria of Wasted Time, and I guarantee we wasted no time at all. It is a nice restaurant made up of two parts, thus, big enough to go there even without booking in advance. The service is friendly, waiters are... More

Typical puglian dishes, relaxed atmosphere, and Ostuni is a little jewel! We had the fava bean puree, the fried anchovies, the octopus stew with tomato and olives and the eggplant parmiggiana. All were delicious and authentic, not at all a tourist trap as someone else has written (we live in Italy).

Food made for English people. Tourist trap. Expensive bad food. Uneatable for Italians. Beautiful setting, if you really want/have to go order the pure di fave.

Osteria del tempo person was on my recommended list of restaurants to eat at while visiting Ostuni and it did not disappoint. We spent 10 nights staying in the area and every night we are out and Osteria del tempo perso is still our most memorable meal. Everything about this place is charming. The location, the decor, atmosphere, friendly service... More

Local and simple cooking with fresh ingredients. Delicious with no pretensions. Interesting decor in a cave. Friendly service.

In one of the most beautiful spots in Ostuni you find this small, nice restaurant, with very nice service and quite good food. Small menu, some basics (fave e cicoria) but also creativity (orecchiette with vongole and crudaiola di pomodori), outstanding Lamb Carree, poor desserts (obviously bought somewhere else - without any creativity). Honest prices and pleasant atmosphere.

Nice location and good food but not oustanding. Prices are higher than in a normal Italian restaurant. The expected outstanding result was missing. Tables are close to the next one so not really romantic.

My personal experience was excellent we approach the restaurant from the wrong side so it took is a bit to find it . It was a rainy day and we went for a late lunch . Place was busy but our waiter brought us water immediately and some really delicious bread with olives. Fried alici were delicious as well as... More

After receiving high recommendations on TA and elsewhere, we were stunned by the poor experience of dining at Lost Time. The zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese were heavy, the pasta with asparagus was bland, and the roast sucking pig was gristly and tasteless. The wine list is long but very expensive. Probably the worst meal we had in Italy and... More

We have visited 3 times now and always enjoyed the food very much. A new dish this most recent visit, grano I tartufo nero - farro grain, an ancient variety, with slices of fresh black truffle. If enough of you (at least 8) book in advance for a traditional taster meal of antipasti, 2 pasta dishes, 2 meat dishes and... More
