We came on the recommendation of an Ostuni local and enjoyed some authentic and tasty Puglian food here. Very cosy inside, open kitchen with chef on view, well priced for central location, worth a visit

This family run restaurant centres around the excellent chef. We had a half litre of the family's own red wine and tap water. We enjoyed the authentic assorted antipasta and then, as always, could not resist the rabbit. Beautifully cooked and served with roasted potatoes. As we had eaten so much by then we resisted a pudding. Total cost an... More

Loved this place and best meal we had during our five day visit. Small and rustic, with a small kitchen to the side. However the food was amazing. Recommend he chickpea and fennel pasta for primi. The slow roasted lamb for secondi was succulent, and perfectly flavoured. The staff were incredibly friendly and the chef (old lady) popped out a... More

What an excellent little restaurant!!!! This place is a must when in Ostuni, regional dishes beautifully cooked. Aubergine parmigiana melted in the mouth, the antipasti was superb and included the regional specialty burrata. Orecchiette cime di rapa (turnip tops) was something else, perfectly cooked and topped with anchovies and breadcrumbs... Rabbit stew was also wonderful and took me back to... More

We were sent to this restaurant by our landlady on our first night in Ostuni and were so glad that she did. It was a rainy evening, and we were alone in the restaurant, but the atmosphere was still really warm and friendly, with the chef/owner coming out to talk with us ('though she only speaks Italian and we don't,... This charming restaurant is situated in a small alley in the White City very close to the historic cathedral. Recommended by our hotel, it turned out to be a special and memorable treat. Osteria Monacelle is very small and we sat at a table adjacent to the small kichen where Gina and Neliva were cooking regional specialties to order. We... More

A lovely meal in a friendly family run restaurant. We had the antipasti selection which was delicious and our rabbit and lamb main courses were perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. I thoroughly recommend it.

We found this place after walking the town for around an hour trying to find somewhere open (Don't come here in off season). Wasn't sure what to order so we chose the mixed antipasti and asked our waiter/Owner? for a recommendation on a pasta. One of the very few waiters here who speaks english. The rest. has a huge glass... More

We found this restaurant when most were shut because we are visiting out of season, and it turned out to be a great place. Very friendly and excellent food, all local specialities. The antipasti selection was especially good and well worth having.
