Elegant gentleman had mentioned the restaurant to us

Wonderful antipasti sharing plate for three - each dish that arrived was absolutely delicious. We also had tasty olive bread presented warm.

There are many restaurants in Ostuni, however few have the special ambience of Taverna della Gelosia. It is located on one of the pedestrian paths off Via Cathedrale. We parked just above the Villa Comunale park where the monthly antique market is held and took a leisurely 10 minute walk to the restaurant for our Sunday lunch. There is seating... More

In the cramped side streets of Ostuni, its worth seeking this restaurant out. Down steep steps to a scattering of outdoor tables sheltered under the shade of old wisteria, we had a five minute wait, then received the attention of our waiter. He advised us on the antipasti selection, explained the menu in detail, and what we chose was wonderfully... More

Good food, location and staff. Ordered the antipasta...wonderful and unusual assortment, best to wait until after antipasta before ordering your main course, we were full!

This was my favorite of all the great places we ate whilst on holiday in Puglia this September. A wonderful and romantic, peaceful setting, tucked away in the beautiful winding streets of old ostuni; we ate outside with the wonderful lighting down the white washed stairs. I had some amazing fish, so not sure why other reviewers seem to think... More

Our party of four had a really good meal at this restaurant. The dining areas are down flights of steps and it would be an excellent place for a romantic meal. The menu is predominately based on meat and vegetable dishes. The antipasti is superb and our main courses were excellent. Waiters are very helpful and friendly as was mine... More

Dined here on by chance. As we did not want to wait for an outside table we sat inside. Very nice. The food was fabulous. The anti pasto very different from the norm. About six different dishes, all delicious. Main courses were excellent. As the menu was in Italian the waiter explained everything on it. Service was excellent. Recommend.

Solo dining was awkward and unpleasant. Staff hovered ineffectively. Heavy food but ok atmosphere. I can't reccomend it. sorry. Grab a pizza in the beautiful winding streets of Ostuni. Resturant above has THE BEST VIEW. Try that!

Nicely located in the middle of the oll town of Ostuni, lovely both for lunch as well as for dinner. Rather steep stairs to get to the restaurant, so don't go there if you walk on crutches. They serve quite unique Italian dishes - like in the old days - which are delicious, but a bit on the heavy side... More
