Nice restaurant with large selection in the menu, and good value for money. Defineyly worth a visit when in esslingen, as it is one of the best Swabian restaurants out there.

While visiting family in the Stuttgart area, we saw the recommendations for this restaurant in the medieval town of Esslingen, just outside Stuttgart. The restaurant menu includes a good representation of the local cuisine of Swabia. What a treat! Wonderful food, wonderful service, inside a building that dates back 700 years. Can't say enough about the experience. If you're travels... More

Not a five star fancy restaurant, but very good value for money. Honest and tasty food. Loved the wine too and appreciatef the service. The only downside for me personally was there were not more options for vegetarians, but well, that is life. The veggie options I had were great.

This is our favorite restaurant in Esslingen. The menu is authentically Swabian and always includes fresh, seasonal game and market ingredients, like asparagus, chanterelles, goose and venison. It is the oldest wine cellar in town with excellent (and friendly!) service. Don't miss!

I am German and used to live in Esslingen. I have been to the Einhorn twice maybe and I really enjoyed the location especially the downstairs area which is the old stone wall basement. Looks very cool. I liked the Zwiebelrostbraten a lot there and recommend you getting it. The personnel was friendly and made the dinner a nice experience.

We eat here on every trip to Esslingen. It is just the best for good German food in this old town area. Food is affordable, good, and the atmosphere is old world. Take a little time to enjoy this gem. Please note it is closed on Sundsy.

A restaurant serving typical Swabian food in one of the oldest houses of Esslingen. Very nice atmosphere and very good service. In the evening a wine cellar is being opened. Good food with reasonable prices

Luckily our friends who live nearby took us here for a Swabian meal and an alternative venue for food and drink. What a treat... and one that Mercedes F1 team staff and drivers have frequented in the past. The street level entrance promises something quite special, and certainly even if you are eating in the cellar... you should have a... More

It was enjoyable experience to eat in the cellar area of the resturant. The price of the food is reasonable. I was there during the asparagus season and the food was really nice. Service is good and very homely. Excellect place to have dinner at the end of the day walking around the old town. I would recomand it.

Loved the feel of the restaurant, and chef came out to check on us. He made recommendations for our after dinner drinks and dessert. Wonderful local food.
