For 6 Western Australian diners, our lunch at La Petite Maison will remain as one of of the highlights of our stay in rural France. The set menu of 48€ was incredible with food of the highest standard. Unlike other reviewers, I was able to swap something on my menu with something on the 70€ menu without any problem. The... More

This was the best dining experience of my entire 3 week trip to France and Italy. Located in the beautiful small village of Cucuron which you may recognize from the movie "A Good Year" the setting couldn't have been better. The food was incredible and we experienced tastes we never knew existed. We went with the 3 course menu with... More

We were 10 to celebrate our wedding anniversary and having heard so much about Eric Sapet's level of cuisine we decided to try it out. And disappointed we were not!!!! The whole ambience of the restaurant (we were downstairs where we could see the kitchen) lends itself to a an expectation that makes you salivate before anything has been brought... More

My husband and I came here for lunch. The set menu is very good value for a Michelin-star restaurant! We loved the cosy, country-style ambience in the upstairs dining room. The food was superb - such attention to detail, in presentation, sauces, combinations of flavours. We only had 3 courses, but could not eat a thing for the rest of... More

We brought an American friend from Paris and she said it's the best deal (quality/price ratio) that she had in France. The pigeon and foie gras pie was marvelous. Thank you chef Sapet for adding some summer truffles fos us. We will always come back and bring more friends.

I have eaten many meals in restaurants in many countries but can not bring one to mind that matched the excellence of this meal. I took a group of 28 people, all were enchanted by the freshness and lightness of the food, by its inventiveness and the sheer pleasure of eating it. The selection of wines to accompany the food... This was an absolute great find. We loved the food and experience at the restaurant. The staff and chef were very attentive, welcoming, and the food was delicious! One of a kind cuisine! This restaurant is worth the drive when staying in France.

La Petite Maison deserves the Michelin star which it has. The food and presentation is always good. However, there is no a la carte menu. There are two set menus with no substitutions. The three course menu is 48 euros and the five course menu is 70 euros. (Both have increased in price since this time last year.) Each menu... More

The scenic drive alone is worth the 40 minute jaunt from Aix. Cucuron is a beautiful little village set in the Provencal vines. The food was absolutely perfect. My only regret is that I don't speak better French in order to converse with the restaurant's gregarious, story telling chef. My favourite restaurant experience in France.

We visited on a Friday night and, for a Michelin starred restaurant, the waiting staff were quite thin on the ground (2 for at least 16 covers upstairs). The food was all very good with interesting flavours. There is a choice of two menus and I asked to swap the dessert from one menu because I don't like pear. Unfortunately... More
