Virtually the only place open in the Arbois in the evening (besides one or two more expensive places), La Finette is generally a busy place. Last week I could not get in (had no reservation) It's a big restaurant, decorated in semi-log cabin style, a bit artificial, but still cosy. I had a local fine meats starter, which was pretty... We ate here while we were driving back to Switzerland and we wanted to try Fondue. It was good quality, nicely presented and very tasty. Fondue was complemented with Salad and portion of meat. Waiter/waitress were friendly and everything was presented nicely.

We really wanted a more relaxed meal on our last night in Arbois and this was just what the doctor ordered. Wish I had had the appetite to have a fondu!! Looked and smelled amazing. Nice, simple food at a good price. The waitress was lovely and really friendly. Best 'café gourmand' of our holiday.

We ate here one evening because we could not get into Les Caudalies which is almost next door and had been recommended. We went for the four course menu and overall it was good quality, nicely presented and very tasty. First, the onion soup, nice croutons and melted Comte cheese but I thought that the soup lacked that caramelised onion... More

We had the set menu, the food was good, however the portion size was huge, this meant you were almost full after the starter and still had another 3 courses to go.

Went with a group of 10 adults & 5 kids, nice big table in a secluded alcove. Fondu shared between 2 or 3 so we had 3 pots but none of us managed to finish despite our best efforts! A reasonable €16 menu, with the option of a cheese board for dessert! Cheesetastic!

Its been a long ambition to visit Arbois in the Jura where Louis Pasteur established molecular dyssymmetry by fermentation no doubt using the local yellow wine. This looks like Fino sherry tastes like sherry but is not sherry. Made in similar treated barrels it is not fortified and like other Arbois wine has a complex herby pine taste which I... More

Food really good, well priced, service good. Fondu excellent, and the smoked trout even better. And, yes, local wine. We ate there three of the four nights we were in Arbois.
